Gemini(M) x Libra(M); My mirror. My guardian.
Gemini
In my peripheral vision, I saw my beloved Libby running away from the cafe. I immediately rushed after him but a hand grabbed mine.
"Gemini, leave him. He's just a weight on you." Jake spoke in a convincing tone. I gave him a disgusted look and yanked my hand away.
"Leave me alone." I had way more to say but Libby was what I needed now. I ran out of the cafe and out on the side walk. I couldn't spot him anywhere.
I was probably overreacting. He could have been on a walk and didn't even notice me. But the possibility he did and heard something wrong also worried me. I went left like he did but still couldn't find him anywhere. Our home wasn't far from here and hopefully went there.
I knocked over a plant with how hard I opened the door.
' "Libra! Libby!" I called searching every room we had and still nothing. Libra might not have been missing. He could have mentioned visiting a friend and I just didn't remember. All this struggle could be for nothing. Or maybe he did hear me and miss interpreted something wrong. He was only by the window. I always have this feeling something bad that isn't likely to happen will happen, that's why I never trust my 'gut feeling'. I never knew it could actually happen
Overthinking about the situation wouldn't help so I slid on the wall to the floor, took a deep breath, and tapped on my knee.
Libra always calmed me down like this. In high school, I had slight depression and occasionally had panic attacks. I wasn't liked at all. In fact, Libra was probably one of the first people to ever to talk to me.

The class was buzzing as groups of different people chatted, played games, or got ready for class. Gemini was in the back with a stack of sticky notes and a book on his desk. He folded them into different animals and shapes, while attempting to read his book which he's read before.
"Hey! Gemini!" Derek called gaining the class's attention, "You look better than usual."
Gemini finished his paper butterfly and looked at him unamused. Derek grabbed the butter fly and accidentally-on purpose squished it, flipping switches in Gemini.
"What do you want Derek?" He asked with a strangling smile and fake voice. Derek scoffed, threw the ball of paper at him, and folded his hands.
"Look at Mister-high-and-mighty, looking down at all of us." He mocked earning chuckles from the class. Gemini looked around judging everyone's humor. He turned to face the 4"3' of a boy.
"You make it very easy, Derek. One sniff and anyone within a 30 kilometer radius will realized below you are, and by the way, your height also makes it very easy." The class erupted into 'ooh' while Derek's face burned with anger and embarrassment.
"Listen, you waste off space-" Before he could finish, his anger took over him and he slammed Gemini's head into the table and dragged his head back.
"Bastard!" He fisted the poor boy hair as he cried in pain. He would have actually hit Gemini but the teacher walked in with a boy following her closely.
"Class, we have a new student." She gestured to the brownie-haired boy with freckles on his cheeks a nose. He smiled making all the girls go crazy. Gemini looked at all of them and scoffed. He didn't see the hype.
"Hi! I'm Libra." Gemini stopped his scribbling and looking up knowing the teacher will assign me the new student, being class president.
"Class prez." She called and I stood up. I watched as the class went silent as everyone stared and gossiped.
Omg, he's still class prez?
I didn't even realize he was here.
Look how awful he looks.
Maybe he was to busy at some gay club.
First of all, I was up all night working on the project WE were supposed to do. Second, that was just rude.
Is what he wanted to say, but with the teacher present, he figured it wasn't worth getting in trouble for. So, instead he just rolled his eyes.
Gemini
"I'll hand Libra over to you." She gestured to the seat next to me and Libra sat there. I've sat in the same place for at least three semesters and the one next to me was always empty. It felt odd.
"Hey, I'm Libra. You probably knew that because I introduced myself Earlier." He chuckled and rubbed his nape before turning away. I noticed his ears get a bit red but felt it to my imagination.
"Um...okay. I'm Gemini by the way." I said unsure of myself and went back to my lazy squiggles. I constantly caught him staring at me or my notes. I didn't mention it because I was doing it too. I was looking for any sign of discomfort.
After class, I took Libra around school and showed him the school.
"So, why did you change schools?" I asked, trying to make any form of conversation. I thought I'd enjoy his company before he also left me.
"Oh! Um- I was being bullied there." He explained. How lucky he was. My parent are never going to let me change. This is the best private school in the state and they won't even consider boarding school. I'm stuck here but hopefully, Libra wouldn't experience that.
I really liked him: He was nice, very calm, good humor(like some of the people here lack), and an all round good guy. I saw the hype. We stopped at his locker and I helped him open it. He flung his backpack in and looked at me.
"What's next?" He smiled and I moved my face back in confusion. See, that was probably a friendly gesture but I didn't get it then. His smile faded and he tugged on his shirt sleeve. I panicked and turned away.
"Well, we're done. We have about forty-five minutes before lunch. You wanna go to the library?" He gave me a suspicious look and took a step forward as I took one back.
"Where will you be?" I played with the strings on my hoodie.
"Somewhere." I said blankly. He hooked his arm around mine and looked my dead in the eye.
"Okay, let's go 'somewhere'." I sighed and understood he wasn't planning on leaving.
He followed me up the many flights of stairs, even though I see he was exhausted.
"Do want me to carry you?" I offered, extending my hand for him to take. He looked at it, then back at me with a blush on his cheek from exhaustion.
"Um-sure." He stuttered looking away. I turned away from him and bent down. He hopped onto my back and I staggered a bit but able to effortlessly carry him.
As I carried him up, I felt his hot breath on my neck. Our breathing synced up and the only sounds present where my footsteps and my pounding heart.
We got to the roof and I dumped Libra on the floor. I heard whining from him but I could easily ignore them. It was autumn, so it wasn't sunny. I basked in the cool wind near the edge of the building. Libra later joined me brushing a hand over mine. It sent shocks up my arm, making me turn to him but he just looked forward.
"Hey, do you read?" I asked earning a nod from him. Who knew that would be the start of a beautiful friendship?
