(Art not mine.)

I stirred awake thanks to the blinding rays of the sunlight shining through the slightly broken window. I wanted to cover my head and fall back asleep but the sound of someone entering my room stopped me from doing so.

"Anix, wake up. The unbirthday party is today. If we're late, well, you know..." Deuce tried getting me up. "We also have a visitor. Cater is here."

At least today was the weekend. I groggily got up as I rubbed the sleepiness from my eyes and Deuce left to I could get dressed. I brushed out my crazy hair before leaving my room and made my way to the lounge where Cater was chatting with Ace when he saw me come down the stairs.

"Good mooorning! Did you all enjoy your sleepover? Did you bond over pillow fights and card games?" He asked.

"We did play some cards, yeah. But only Old Maid, cause that was the only one Grim knew how to play. Anix didn't join." Deuce told him.

"Well, anyway, you should get one of the tarts we made yesterday and go apologize to Riddle. And you should probably hurry, because after the trouble yesterday, we're a little short-handed."

"What does that mean?" Ace asked.

"Don't worry. I've totes got it under control. Anyway, off to the party we go!" Cater gestured us to follow him, leaving the comfort of the run down dorm and led us to the Hall of Mirrors.

We entered through the Heartslabyul Dorm and I smiled when I was greeted by the same entrance as before. It really was right out of Alice in Wonderland. My morning improved a little just being here.

"Alright, so I'll hand over the tart and say I'm sorry, then-" Ace began to go over the plan when Carter showed up in front of us. Wait, hold on. Cater was right here!

"Hey, it's about time I got back! Good to see me!" The second Cater greeted the first.

"And me! Looking good as always, me!" Cater relied.

I blinked in confusion, thinking that I may have just been seeing things. But, nope. There were still two of them.

"Are you guys identical twins?!" Ace exclaimed.

"Nope. Don't have any guy siblings. What I DO have is my signature spell, Split Card. It lets me make magic duplicates of myself." Cater explained. I think he was the real one.

"Welcome home, darlings."

"Good to see you, Anix."

Two more Cater duplicates came to greet us. What a way to start my morning.

"JSYK, I'm actually the real Cater. Making these duplicates is suuuper exhausting, so I can't maintain them for long. Anyway, if we're late, heads will roll. And since we're several people short, we'll need your help. But when this is over, I promise I'll take you straight to Riddle." The first Cater told us.

"MORE ROSES?!" Ace complained.

What the hell is going on? I'm so confused.

"Get the lead out, peeps! We need to get started!" Cater told them before leading us back over to the rose maze. Of course, more work. I'm too tired for this. We helped Cater fill out the last of the white rose bushes by painting them red until each and every last rose was finished. "Looking good! Ooh, it's almost time! Okay, all you sexy body doubles, that's a wrap!" And with that, he summoned his duplicates to disappear. "Now, to the party we go!"

He led us from the rise bush to the garden where tables were neatly set up with chairs, cups and teapots, and many tasty delectables. It looked like a massive and wild tea party. But what caught my eye the most was Riddle walking in wearing the signature dorm uniform dressed in red, roses, and a crown on top of his head. He looked like a true ruler.
