Crayons

Why do children see the world as a fun place to live?
But for us adults, it's hard to believe.
Children can dream and play all day.
But us, we need to work to be paid.

We experience devastation, pain and suffering.
But they feel love and joy that is never ending.
Maybe because they use crayons.
That's why they live in perfection.

It's always that gray gloomy afternoon.
While children play and will eat again soon.
They wanted to be adults I heard.
Good luck when they get old and see the cruel world.

I'm very jealous of them.
They have plenty of time that for me is a gem.
They are loved by their parents.
They see the world with amazement.

They don't know how hard it is to live alone.
In the dark with your dead phone.
It doesn't even matter.
They won't call you later.

If crayons can make my life colorful.
If crayons can make my life meaningful.
I'll buy every crayon at the shop.
For this gloominess to stop.
