Shadows of Midnight

Chapter 5

The girls finally arrived at the closed door of the security room. They had to climb the stairs and pass through a small corridor. The girls held their hugs tightly. Eliza handed Fred to Kiara and pulled out a key. She unlocked the door and opened it. Everyone went inside. Sara was the last to close the door. She took the key and locked the door. Sara was tremendously afraid that the figure would have followed them behind and that is why she locked the door.

They put down their things like their stuffed animals and backpacks except for the flashlights. They needed light and turning on the light from the security room would catch attention. Eliza went to the computer and started it. Kiara went next to her and Sara was on the other side. The girls were nervous, this was the moment. After the computer showed the start screen, surprisingly there was no password to type in. The girls looked surprised. Eliza left the computer to Kiara and she began to do the thing she had to do. She also unwrapped the USB flash drive and plugged it in. Kiara went to the cameras and went to the date when Rob disappeared. She also made sure the time went a little fast.

Nothing was happening on the cameras yet, but the girls continued to observe. That was when Rob appeared. He appeared to go around and nothing happened then, but that was a figure that appeared. Sara's eyes looked full of fear. "That's the same figure I saw when we were at the gate."

The girls watched with horror as Rob was led away to a spot behind the building. That was when something horror came on. The figure was Rob's figure, dragged lifeless by the same figure that took him away from the cameras. And that was it. Nothing else had happened. The cameras had picked up nothing else. The girls looked startled at each other.

"We have to take this to the police," Kiara said in a serious tone and began tapping away on the keyboard.

Sara and Eliza watched Kiara go to work and after the video was saved, she went to the documents and stuck the video in. She took the USB stick off the computer and put it in her pocket. The girls gave each other a silent high-five, even though there was much sadness and horror. They got to watch Rob get killed and dragged away. But where was his body? It had to be somewhere nearby.

"We're going to the police," Eliza said in a soft tone, and she watched as Kiara and Sara nodded.

The girls packed their things and were ready to go home soon, to Eliza's house, but then came a loud banging on the door and the girls were startled so hard that they stopped in their places, frozen.

"I found you," said a dark singing voice.
