The Foo Fighters

This rock group was formed and created by batterist and ex-member of Nirvana, David Grohl, back in 1995, one year after Kurt Cobain's premature death. And Dave also took Pat Smear from the same group. The first debut album was solely composed by Dave himself, with no help whatsoever. Which became an instant success everywhere, and later on, in 1997, Dave had already made his group and went on to compose many albums that were extremely successful and won many awards throughout the years, until now.

So either way, if Dave had continued in Nirvana he would've had a lot of success too, but then he wouldn't have made his own group and songs. So the story would've been completely different.
