His POV:
"Safe from what? From you?" she challenged, her tone edged with sarcasm.
"No, love, from my admirers. You see, I have quite a lot. I am the most coveted bachelor, after all. Well, I was, but now I'm not a bachelor anymore. Instead, I'm committed to you."
I needed to lighten the mood to steer her away from the topic.
"So full of yourself, aren't you, Mr. Agnivanshi?" she retorted, her voice tinged with challenge.
Before I could reply, Ruhi interrupted us. "Come inside, Jeejs," she said. We decided to call me 'Jeejs' because 'Jiju' felt too mundane for our unique bond.
"Didi, Jeejs, come and eat," Ruhi insisted.
Ah, so they were having dinner.
"COME," Amore commanded, her voice slicing through the tension.
"I can only do that on or inside you, amore," I whispered in her ear.
Before she could fully grasp my words, I moved further inside. A few seconds later, she followed, a subtle blush tinting her ears—something easily missed by others but never by me.
At dinner, she seemed determined to ignore me, focusing on her food and chatting with Ruhi. Her deliberate indifference only stoked the fire within me. Outside, the storm mirrored my inner turmoil with its relentless rain and thunder. Each clap of thunder echoed my heartbeat, and every flash of lightning illuminated her features, casting her in an ethereal light. The storm outside matched the dark, fiery tension between us.
Her casual laughter with Ruhi and deliberate avoidance were all part of a game she was winning. But I was determined to play along. I leaned back in my chair, my eyes fixed on her as I took a slow, deliberate sip of wine, savoring how the crimson liquid reflected the heat building inside me.
"Do you like the food, Jeejs?" Ruhi asked, breaking the silence
"It's perfect," I replied, never breaking my gaze from her. "But I think something else would be even more satisfying."
She finally met my eyes, a challenge blazing in her gaze. Her ears turned a familiar shade of red, revealing her reaction despite her attempts to hide it.
A slow, seductive smile spread across her lips. She tilted her head slightly, eyes locked onto mine. "Is that so?" she purred, her voice laced with honey and mischief. "What could be more satisfying than this delicious meal?"
Without waiting for an answer, she stood gracefully, her movements fluid and deliberate. "Ruhi, why don't you go to your room? I need to discuss something important with your Jeejs."
Ruhi looked between us, a knowing smirk on her face. "Alright, Didi. Goodnight, Jeejs." She winked at me before heading upstairs.
Once we were alone, she turned to me, eyes ablaze with a mix of defiance and desire. "You think you can play this game with me, Mr. Agnivanshi?" she whispered, stepping closer. "Let me show you how it's done."
She sat on my thigh, fitting perfectly against me, her warmth seeping through my clothes. Her teasing began with her hands moving from my neck to my chest, her touch both delicate and insistent. Her fingers traced the contours of my muscles, igniting a trail of fire.
Her eyes locked onto mine with a predatory glint as she leaned in closer. "Do you feel that?" she murmured, her lips brushing against my ear, sending a shiver down my spine. "The power I have over you?"
I could only nod, my voice caught in my throat as she continued her slow, deliberate exploration. Her hands slid lower, unbuttoning my shirt with an excruciating slowness that left me aching for more. I grabbed her waist, pulling her closer.
"Remember, Mr. Agnivanshi," she said, her voice dripping with seductive menace, "this is only a contract and a fraudulent marriage."
She took a step back, her eyes glimmering with newfound confidence as she surveyed the effect she had on me. With a teasing smile, she finally broke the silence. "Sleep in the guest room left from the kitchen," she instructed, her voice dripping with authority.
I remained frozen, captivated by her commanding presence. She turned on her heel, her movements graceful and assured, and walked away. Her confidence was palpable, leaving me both enthralled and bewildered.
As she disappeared around the corner, I took a moment to collect myself. The weight of her words and the intensity of the moment lingered in the air. Slowly, I made my way to the guest room she had indicated, my mind racing with a mix of anticipation and confusion.
