Shu Hanyu, however, did not approach him again and raised his head to climb out of the cave.
Shu Jintian finally let out a heavy sigh when the dark-green snake tail also disappeared from his field of vision.
His body hurt so much that it didn’t even feel like it was his. Shu Jintian supported his waist and rubbed it.
“Ss… It hurts!”
Hateful big snake, turning hostile whenever it wanted to.
He touched the bruise again, and the pain permeated into his bones. However, if he ignored it, the bruise would heal slower. To stop his blood from clotting, Shu Jintian bore through the pain and rubbed the bruised area.
His forehead had a faint sheen of sweat, which soaked his dry lips. Shu Jintian licked his lips that were so dry it chapped, and some of the salty sweat moistened his parched mouth.
Suddenly recalling that person extending his forked tongue and licking, Shu Jintian retched, spitting out the sweat in his mouth.
Shu Hanyu returned very soon, and had even brought back a strange, half-dead beast. It was the size of a small water buffalo, and its nose was also like a water buffalo’s. However, it had particularly long ears, and its fur was tidy and smooth, somehow a little like a rabbit.
The snake tail was wrapped around his prey and he spat out a few brilliant red fruits from his mouth. It was the kind Shu Jintian had eaten last night.
Shu Jintian was sure that his abdominal pains had something to do with this fruit. Now that he saw the large snake bring some back for him again, he couldn’t help trembling in fear.
Yesterday, the snake had also been the one to bring him to pick these fruits, and he had taken the initiative to pick a lot. After eating it, he had that awful stomach pain.
Now, the large snake had picked this fruit for him again. It was hard for him to believe that the large snake had not done it on purpose.
Shu Jintian’s gaze was filled with vigilance and he stared at him warily.
Shu Hanyu extended his tail towards Shu Jintian and the tip of his tail poked at Shu Jintian’s shoulder.
Revulsed, Shu Jintian retreated backwards, but forced himself to stop when he thought of the snake’s ruthlessness.
“What do you want now?”
The response to Shu Jintian was a snake tail which got even closer, as well as the beast trapped under it.
“This… you’re giving to me to eat?”
Seeing the large snake nod his head, Shu Jintian snorted and looked away.
Displeased, Shu Hanyu twisted his snake body and relentlessly presented the food before the female. However, the female could not tell good from bad and kept avoiding him.
The Spiritual Snake’s anger slowly rose. He was already very tolerant with the female, yet this female still kept being difficult and refused to eat. If it weren’t for his morning mistake of being heavy-handed against him this morning, he wouldn’t have offered food in such a good temper.
There was another familiar, strange sound. Shu Jintian intuitively felt that the situation had turned for the worse. He turned his head back and saw Shu Hanyu, who had been in his snake form previously, back in his human form.
Shu Jintian trembled and retreated a step back.
However, Shu Hanyu did not pay attention to him. His large hands picked up the prey on the floor and he opened his mouth to bite into the prey’s neck, his sharp teeth penetrating the prey’s artery.
