The teens left the phantom world. Taylor was sleeping on top of Ashlyn, who cuddled her. Aiden just looked at the two girls until he felt someone's shoulder touching his.
"Hey dude. I don't wanna sound rude, but she is not into you."
Aiden looked to the side, seeing Tyler.
"Ashlyn? How do you wanna know?"
"Not Ashlyn. Taylor. She doesn't love you."
Aiden looked back at the girls.
"How do you wanna know?"
Tyler sighed.
"She is my twin. And I am convinced she isn't into guys."
Aiden questioning could it be true? Yes, Taylor always cuddled into Ashlyn and rarely talked about boys, but does that mean anything.
"I can hope, right?"
"Don't get your hopes up. I don't want you to get hurt."
Aiden looked confused at Tyler. What the duck was that? Taylor moved, and she seemed to wake up. Ashlyn whispered something, but the boys couldn't make it out. Aiden just stood up going into the kitchen. He felt followed, and he was right. The brunette girl was following him. Her big brown eyes looked into his red eyes.
"Oh, hey Tay. Can we talk?"
"Yeah, sure, what is it, honey?"
Aiden took a deep breath. And started to talk. He seems like he wants to win an award for talking as fast as humanly possible.
"Taylor, I like you more than a friend, and being with you would mean everything to me. I know we can't, but maybe just maybe we can still try. Tyler surely will be fine with it and the others, too. I promise to always love you, and we can make it work somehow."
Taylor looked at him, seemingly processing what he was saying. Her face changed from confused to sad.
"Aiden, I am sorry. We can't date it is not because of you."
She sighed, looking away. She just couldn't look into his eyes.
"I am not into you. I am so sorry."
Aiden was stunned. Feeling his heart break.
"It is fine. I am going back to the living room. "
He said, laughing. Then he left. Taylor felt guilty for hurting him, but what was she supposed to do. Ashlyn entered the room, noticing something was odd.
"Dear? Are you okay?"
"Yes Ash, I am fine."
Meanwhile, with Aiden. He didn't go to the living room. He entered the graveyard, having tears in his eyes. He didn't want to cry, but he couldn't hold himself back anymore. After a while, Ben and Logan went out looking for him.
"Aiden, there you are!"
Logan said until he saw his friend crying. It was probably the first time they didn't see him smile.
'Aiden, what happened?'
The giant wrote on his phone while sitting down next to his cousin.
"I love her, but she doesn't. I don't know what happened she seemed to. I don't know. "
The blonde boy said while holding his head in his hands. He was breathing heavily.
"You confessed to Ashlyn? Don't take her rejection to serious. She is pretty bad at showing her feelings and probably just isn't ready for a relationship yet."
"I mean Taylor."
Aiden responding letting his head fall down, not wanting to look at his friends. The boy with light brown hair looked shocked at Ben.
"You like Taylor? Like Tyler's sister Taylor?"
Aiden nodded.
'Hey, she might be a difficult girl. I am sure you still have a chance with her. Just let her talk stuff out with Tyler. She never makes a decision without him'
Ben wrote, reassuring his cousin. Aiden took a deep breath.
"You are right. I shouldn't give up just yet."
Aiden said with a confident smile. The girls were still talking while the boys came back.
"I am not sure Ashlyn. I never have felt.."
Taylor stopped talking, noticing Aiden entering the room. She looked at her brother.
"I am going home, I forgot Sarah, and I wanted to meet up."
She said and then left. Tyler glared at Aiden.
"Better stay away from her in this world. At least for a few days."
Then Tyler left, too. Ashlyn looked at them and just shaked her head.
"Don't be mad at Taylor. She right now can not use a relationship. Just give her time, and when she feels well again, try being a friend."
She spoke while signaling them to sit down.
"Did I hurt her?"
Aiden wanted to know.
