"Hey Colton, that's Chase-" I started but was cut off.
"Go. Go talk to him." Colton replied, stopping his truck and giving me a smile.
I gave him a smile but just after I got out of his truck and went to talk to Chase.
"Chase!" I called after to him.
He kept walking and turned to go inside Peter's house. He went inside but left the door open. I ran to catch up with him and went inside to find Chase pacing back and forth in the library.
He stopped to look at me and gave me apologetic eyes and I smiled with the same feeling in my eyes. He looked like he was on the verge of crying so I brought him into a hug. He wrapped an arm around my torso and placed his hand on my head, holding me tight. Chase began to cry and I felt so bad. I was so rude to him and I regret everything I said.
"I'm pulling myself back together Violet." Chase told me.
"I know Chase. You don't look horrible." I told him, laughing a little trying to lighten the mood.
He pulled back and sat down on one of the lounge chairs, I followed by sitting in the chair across from him.
"Violet I don't know what got into me. I guess I just figured that if I wasn't your choice I wouldn't be anyones. So I went off the deep end. But you made me realize that I was going downhill so I got out of that." Chase began.
"Chase there is someone who will love you more than I ever could. And I apologize that I wasn't understanding the last time we talked and I apologize that I didn't choose you. But I couldn't, Chase. I love you, but not in the way I love Colton."
"I know. I realize that now. I understand everything completely. And I forgive you and I apologize for everything I've done. I can say now that after everything, I am over you, in that type of way. And thank you Violet." Chase told me.
I smiled at him before asking him a question. "Thank me for what?"
"For being my first love, my friend with benefits, my best friend, always being there for me and just being you. Thank you." He told me with a huge smile on his face the whole time.
"Your welcome and thank you for everything. Now that we have everything resolved, I think we should go help Peter out of the gutter he's in. Pretty sure he's in the bathroom throwing up from being hungover every day."
"Oh shit. I left him here alone. Oops." He said, chuckling slightly.
He waved me up as he walked out to find Peter. Once we found him he held up one hand and said one thing while staggering back and forth slightly.
"I.. gave up s-smoking. But not alcohol. Chase b-buddy h-help me."
I laughed slightly but immediately stopped when Peter gave me a childish mean look.
Oh, he was so drunk.
"I will. We will Peter." Chase told him, patting him on the back and helping him over to the couch.
Peter stopped abruptly and looked at me.
"Violet. I'm sorry." He told me.
"I know Peter. I know." I told him.
He nodded and flopped down on the couch instantly drifting off to sleep.
"Well I guess I should stay here and watch him. Make sure he doesn't drink anymore." Chase said to me.
"Okay. I'm just down the road at Colton's if you need me. Your a good friend you know that right?" I asked him.
"Yeah I know." He began, sighing. "And alright."
I went to the door and went to shut it behind me but I opened it back up once I heard my name being called.
"Violet!" Chase yelled after me.
"Yeah?" I asked him, turning back to look at him.
"You and Colton were meant for each other you know that? They way you two look at each other is just amazing." He started, looking at me. "And I'm glad that you two are that way. I'm happy for you."
"Thank you Chase. You will find someone who you can look at just in the same way Colton and I look at each other." I told him, going over to him and wrapping him in a hug.
"See you later Chase!" I said, as I exited the house and walked home.
"Hey Colton! I'm home!" I yelled out.
"Over here." Colton said, over in the living room.
"Scarlett left and dinner is cooking." He told me.
I leaned down and gave him a kiss, thanking him for making dinner.
"So how'd it go?" He asked me.
"Good. Chase and I are good, Chase is going help Peter and Peter apologized. Even though he was hungover, I know he meant it." I explained.
"That's great news babe!" Colton told me, looking happy for me. "Did you hear that?"
"Hear what?" I asked, but then knew what he was talking about, someone knocked on the door.
Colton got up to get it and opened the door. We both were shocked to see who was standing there.
"Hi, I know Violet hates me but could I talk to her?" The she devil herself asked, Makayla.
