"Scarlett what's wrong?" I asked, gasping for air due to running down the street from my car.

Scarlett stood there with her hand over her mouth and pointed down the dark alley way we're standing right at. I looked into the alleyway, hoping that Chase isn't dead, thank goodness he wasn't. But what I saw was far more scary.

Chase was in the alley with some girl, that I have no clue who she is, passed out. It looked like Chase had been living in this alley. A lot of his stuff was in old beat up crates and bins. Chase had passed out with a half gallon bottle of scotch in his hand, the bottle was empty. I looked to the right of Chase to see a big pile of different types of alcohol. All bottles empty.

At least he's not smoking like Peter.

I walked down the alley and picked up an old soda can and threw it at Chase and the mystery girl. Chase woke up with a jolt, waking up the girl along with him.

"What the hell?" He asked, leaning up.

"Chase what the hell? Are you living here?" Basically screaming, I scared the girl. She flinched and scooted closer to Chase, who was now lighting a cigarette.

I spoke too soon.

"Eh yeah." He began, pausing to blow out smoke. "Why are you here?" Rolling his eyes.

Oh ya know just walking down random alleyways for the hell of it.

"Scarlett called me and told me to come here because you were laying in this alleyway." I stated.

"Okay?" He asked.

"Well I wanted to make sure you were okay and obviously your not. Your drinking excessively and smoking. This," Pointing to the cigarette butts and alcohol bottles. "Is not okay."

"Please just leave. Both of you. I have some business to attend to." He told us, pointing to the girl.

"Whatever Chase. Whenever you and Peter get the hell out of the hole your in and get your head out of your ass I suggest you don't bother talking to me then or now. I tried to help and your both being complete asses. I get it I didn't pick you but that doesn't mean you need to reject anything that has to do with me. I wanted to help. Don't try to talk to me, ever." I ranted, walking away leaving Scarlett in shock and Chase all over that mystery girl.

-3 Days Later-

I opened my eyes and was half blinded by the sunlight pouring through the blinds in the bedroom. Looking around I noticed I was alone but smelt something delicious that very well smelled like pancakes. Yum.

"Good morning sleeping beauty." Colton said, flipping a pancake on the griddle.

"Morning." I said, letting out a yawn. "Hmm a boyfriend who can fight and  cook. I like that." I finished, saying very sweetly and walking over to him and kissing him on the cheek.

"Good." Colton replied, kissing me back.

Once he finished making our pancakes we ate them quickly and had slight chit-chat about little things. He asked me about yesterday and I told him how Scarlett had found Chase in the alleyway with alcohol bottles and cigarettes. We watched TV for the rest of the day and Colton ordered us some pizza because I refused to let him cook for me twice in one day, plus I was craving pizza. Who am I kidding? When am I not craving pizza? It's delicious.

I must have fell asleep on the couch because I woke up to Colton carrying me princess style to bed, he tucked me in and then went to the other side and layed down. I scooted over to him and laid my head on his chest. I stared at the dark while Colton had and arm behind his head and was running his hands through my hair. I was taken out of my thoughts by Colton breaking the silence.

"They'll be okay. We'll make sure of it." He told me, resting his hand on my shoulder.

"Okay. I love you, goodnight." I told him, and meant every word of it.

He then reached down to my hand and entwined his with mine. I fell asleep that way, with us holding hands.

I woke up screaming in the middle of the night, I woke up Colton with a jolt. I launched forward when I woke, leaving myself now sitting upright.

"Violet are you okay? What's wrong? What happened?" He asked, turning towards me to see that I was panting, due to being out of breath.

"Yeah. I'm fine. It was just a bad dream." I reassured him.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" He asked, looking very concerned.

I nodded my head before I told him what it was about. "It was about Peter and Chase, they were driving drunk and they got into a horrible accident, I was walking outside and noticed who it was and then they crashed into a telephone pole. Sparks went everywhere and that's when I woke up."

Colton looked at me with apologetic eyes and took me into a hug. I rested my head on his shoulder.

"It's okay, Violet. Your safe and I'm sure they are too. Shh. It's okay." He told me, as I began to cry.

I fell back asleep with Colton holding me in his arms.

-Later That Morning-

"Hey babe I invited Scarlett over if that's cool with you." Colton called out to me.

"She's your sister and my best friend. Of course I'm okay with it." I replied, giving him a slight shove. And of course he didn't budge.

"Maybe we all should go paintballing." He suggested.

"Sounds like fun. I'll ask Scarlett." I told him, smiling but then going to get the door.

"Hey Scarlett, Colton would like to know if you want to go paintballing?" I asked her, letting her in.

"Oh my gosh yes! That sounds like so much fun!" She exclaimed, being overly perking.

We spent the rest of our day playing paintball. While me and Scarlett were getting our asses kicked at it by Colton. But overall it was a great day. We came home and I noticed someone walking up the street to Peter's. It was Chase, and he was walking all slouched down but didn't look like complete shit from behind.

But I knew I had to talk to him. Even though I said I wouldn't.
