Tom had seen it when Harry had went to the Chamber of Secrets to confront him.Deep within the eerie confines of the Chamber of Secrets, Harry Potter found himself face-to-face with a manifestation of Tom Riddle, the enigmatic and dark wizard from Hogwarts' past. The chamber was cloaked in an unsettling silence, broken only by the soft echoes of their footsteps.
Harry, his heart pounding, cautiously approached the memory of Tom Riddle, trapped within the enchanted diary. The diary lay open on the ground, its pages eagerly waiting for Harry's response.
"So this is the magnificent boy who lived... the hero.." Tom thought to himself. As Harry moved closer in anguish, Harry's magic endowed Tom, it hit him like a brick. It then slowly enveloped his, like their cores intertwined.
A Connection.
It made them both shudder in the strange, yet inviting pull of their souls. Harry drawled his wand for a second, stilly enticing the comfort of Tom's presence. He then shook himself out of it and drawled his wand.
"What do you want from me, Just step away from Ginny!" Harry asked, his voice trembling with a mixture of fear and curiosity.
Tom Riddle's ghostly figure, flickering in the dim light, looked at Harry with an unsettling smile. "I've been waiting for someone like you, Harry," he replied, his voice both silky and manipulative. "Someone with untapped potential, an understanding of the power that resides within."
Harry furrowed his brow, his green eyes searching Tom's ghostly form for answers. "Why me? What do you know about my power?"
Tom Riddle chuckled softly, his expression turning sinister. "Ah, Harry, you possess a remarkable gift—a connection, to me. A shared bloodline that holds secrets waiting to be unraveled. Together, we can uncover the true potential of your magic."
Yet Harry still didn't budge, even though he was starting to let his guard down.
"You are too predictable and weak-minded, Harry. You have so much potential, yet you waste on saving people who can help their-selves. A shame." Tom spoke. Harry was listening-wasn't listening. The Slytherin then moved towards Harry slowly, like a Spider ensnaring it's prey.
"Tom just move away-" Tom got closer, and closer, to Harry.
"Don't you see?, you have a great deal of magic at your disposal, Let me advise you." Tom held out his hand for his Harry to hopefully take.
Harry was hesitant to take it, he-
Ginny.
The Phoenix swooped in and gave him the sword and sat on the statue behind Tom, gazing at the two. Harry was about to reach, yet felt his body halt in making any sudden moves. Harry then thought to himself, about what he would achieve from always being the Hero. He was still an Orphan, still a Kid everyone looked upon with sympathy. How people will drop him like a hat if he wouldn't always live up to their expectations. 'Like how Tom was', he thought.
