Meet Team U.S.A

I arrived into the locker rooms to put on my Eagles uniform and pads. Once I put on my skates, it was time to head out to the rink. We were all skating around when the Ducks came. For what looked like the coach, he said " Tell me about my new kids."
"That's Luis Mendoza. He's from our Miami Club. A real speedster, incredible player. I clocked him at 1.9 seconds, blue line to blue line." Tibbles said.  While showing off to the team, Luis stopped to glance at me. All of a sudden, he crashed into the wall and fell.
I skated over to help him. " oh gosh, are you okay?" i asked. "yeah, i'm all right. I almost had it that time." he replied, looking as red as ever. I giggled, " well sure, you almost did."

One player shouted, "YEE HAW! How is everyone! Y'all ready to play some puck?" he seemed nice, i thought. i wondered what was his name. "That's Dwayne Robertson, from Austin. He's the best puck handler i've ever seen." Mr. Tibbles announced.
" Hey, this is easier than roping hogs! YEEHAW" Dwayne shouted louder than ever.

I was excited to see there was another girl on the team. i wondered what was her name. " That's Julie "The Cat" Gaffney. She won the state championship for Maine three years in a row." Tibbles stated.  She was a goalie, and she caught every single puck shot at her. " Isn't that the figure skater?" Coach asked.
" Yup, Ken Wu. What can i say? I convinced him that hockey had more of a future. We put a stick in his hands and nobody's been able to touch him." Tibbles replied.

Finally, i thought. My turn to introduce myself. "And that's Liana "the scorer" Gomez, from New York. She is the best at offense , you put a puck infront of her, and she will score without fail." Tibbles introduced. I felt all eyes on me, and i took the puck and skated towards the goal. I shot, and scored 10 times. Luis stared in complete shock. His jaw dropped, and his eyes widened.

There was one kid with his walkman in. He looked huge, and mean. He started singing along to his music and was knocking everyone down. That's when everyone started to argue.  " Why are you trying to take my spot?" Banks shouted. " I didn't do anything, dude. You're just mad i can score more goals than you." I screamed back.

The whistle was blown, and the coach said,
" Everybody FREEZE." his scream echoed the whole room. " Now we didn't come here to fight. We came here to play hockey! We're Team U.S.A. You represent your country." He said. "now i want you- " to be all that you can be, right?" tibbles interrupted. The coach gave him a stare, and we all laughed.
" alright guys we're going to start with a scrimmage!" the coach ordered. Tibbles blew from a whistle before the coach could. "hey, you don't need me here. i've got an appointment anyway. i've got to see miss McKay. she's the team tutor." he explained
" Don? Come on!" Tibbles gave the whistle to coach and said, "you'll get it back at the end of the school term." we all laughed again.
