Truth or dare

#5 swimming

Esme's Pov:

I'm standing on the dock taking my shorts off, when suddenly a pair of arms grab me from behind picking me up but before I can look who it is I'm thrown into the lake, submerging my whole body.

I quickly swim to the top, annoyed considering I didn't want to get my hair wet. When I look back at the dock, I see Noah standing there laughing making me immediately know who threw me in.

"Noah you're going to regret that!" I yell at him before swimming towards the dock grabbing him, pulling him in before he can do anything.

"Oh, you little shit" he says to me once he gets above the water. He tries to grab me, but I pull myself up on the deck before he could.

"You missed" I say, making him laugh and start swimming towards the dock which makes me turn around and start running off the dock but before I could even get off the dock, I run into someone making us both fall to the ground.

"Oh, I'm sorry I didn't se—" I say trying to apologize to the person under me but suddenly stop once realizing that I am in fact straddling Gwen, inches away from her face. I quickly sit myself up away from her face but still staying on top of her.

I look down at her embarrassed and blushing but she's just looking up at me smiling sweetly.

"Are you ok love" she asks, having the slightest bit of bush on her cheeks.

"Y-ya I'm good, are you ok? I'm the one who fell on you" I ask her, tilting my head.

"Oh, I'm good" she says looking me up and down smiling, then taking a deep breath, putting her hands under her back making me look at her confused.

I look her in the eyes, noticing that they are a bit of a darker blue than they normally are, her breathing is a bit heavier, and she seems to be refusing to break eye contact with me.

"Are you okay, may?" I hear Noah's voice come from behind me making me quickly realize that I am still sitting on Gwen.

I quickly jump off Gwen, blushing, and turn to a concerned looking Noah.

"Ya I'm good just a small tumble" I tell him, rubbing the back of my neck.

I turn to Gwen reaching my hand out to help her up. She just shakes her head no making me look at her questioningly.

"Are you ok?" I anxiously ask picking at my nail beds hoping I didn't hurt her.

"Mhm, just going to lay here for a minute" she says, covering her eyes with her hands, taking a deep breath.

I look over to Noah who is looking at her angrily before he looks at me with an evil smile on his face and before I could react, he runs up to me grabbing me then jumping into the lake.

I swim up to the top and see Alex, Noah, and Em all laughing, making me swim up to Em, climbing on her back, trying to pull her under causing her to scream.

"That was my ear" I tell her, grabbing my ear, still hanging onto her back with my other arm.

She suddenly throws herself backwards making me let go of her and swim back up to the suffice.

"You know I didn't want to get my hair wet" I say, taking it out of the bun and dipping my head back into the water trying to get it out of my face.

"Well to bad neither did I" Em says laughing

"You did that to yourself" I tell her, crossing my arms.

"Ya, ya" she says, climbing on Alex's back.

Suddenly there was a big slash from behind us making us all scream from the sudden splash of water.

Turning around I see a proud looking Gwen who seems to be moving in slow motion as she walks towards the group, she has her hair pushed back, water dripping from her face to her chest and slowly falling back into the water, she looks to me with a soft smile making my stomach turn while my face turns like five different shades of red which she seemed to take note of.

Suddenly I got splashed from the side of me making me snap out of my trance and look away from Gwen and to the person who splashed me. Emilia. She's looking at me excitedly, making me confused. I just look away from her and at the sky trying to ignore my surroundings for a second.

This is going to be a long day I tell myself before going back to the chatting group.

We swam for about another hour before deciding to start to pack up our tents and stuff. I put my chair up first, putting it in the back of the car, then went to my tent and took everything out by putting it outside the tent.

I am now sitting on my still blown-up bed not sure how to take down this tent that I somehow set up. I decided to just completely avoid taking it down for as long as I can, so I grab my two bags and take them to the car.

After I find a place in the car to put them, I start back for the camp but stop about halfway there when I notice Gwen taking down my tent.
