I continued walking alongside Mikaela and Yuichiro to uphold the never ending routine of having our blood taken from us.
     "This place is going to to kill us one day, I know it," I spoke up.
     "Well no shit, [Name]
We walked up to a line as a man called for us one by one "Next" I walked up

"[Name] Hyakuya" I said my name as the man searched for something on his clipboard, before writing something down and saying "next"

I ran up to Mika and Yu, but I tripped over "Ah!" I face planted onto the ground. I heard footsteps run over to me as I stood up

"[Name]-chan, are you alright? Why are you shaking?" Mika asked innocently before I turned around for them to see I was shaking with laughter, trying not to burst out laughing but it was too late

"BAHAHA--" Yuu threw his hand over my mouth

"When will you ever learn to shut up" he sighed angrily as I laughed into his hand, tears rolling down my face from laughing too hard. Eventually my laughs turned into giggles and then stopped. Yuu removed his hand

"Hehehe" I giggled lowly as the three of us continued walking. I stood beside Mika before walking a bit faster and swiping my leg on the ground, kicking Yu's legs, causing him to trip over. I giggled and stuck my tongue out at him before running off.

After we had some of our blood taken from us we walked back to some stairs and sat down, I had already finished my drink thingy that they give us and Mika had just finished his. I then heard Yuu shout "NGAAAAAAAA!!!" Before squeezing the life out of his drink

"You're not gonna drink it again?" Mika asked

"You'll get sick Yuu-chan" I sighed, worried for my brother

"I can't drink this disgusting crap!"

"It's not our fault you're such a gormet" I snickered

"You gotta stop being so picky" Mika agreed

"And you've gotta stop doing whatever the fangs tell you" Yuu snapped back as I lay down in my 'starfish position' as Akane would call it, just stretch my arms and legs out and relax

"I don't think it's all that bad to be honest" Mika stood up

"Seriously?!"

"At least we're alive... And we get to live with our family" Mika continued as he threw the empty drink packet in the bin "don't you think that's enough?"

"I'm not their livestock"

"Livestock... Is that like saying. Hmm" Mika and Yuu stated at me curiously, waiting for me to finish what I was saying. I crossed my arms and closed my eyes, still laying down, my eyes then shot open as I clicked my fingers "It's like saying humans are to vampires what animals are to humans" I sat up "makes sense when you think about it, does seem pretty ridiculous. It's like they don't have to do the work they were born to do, we're just always there to submit our blood. But at the same time--" I trailed off. Turning my attention to Yuu and Mika who had begun 'arguing'

"You know being stubborn won't help at all--" Mika was cut off by Yuu throwing his empty juice packet at him, but he dodged.

My eyes followed where it landed and I looked over at two children who were drawing on the concrete
"Hey!" Yuu yelled trying to get their attention as three vampires came along and kicked them out of the way. I jumped up before Yuu and ran over to the vampires

"[Name], no! Don't!" Mika warned but it was too late. I tried to punch the vampire standing in the front but he just picked me up by the hood of my shirt "HEY!! WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?! APOLOGISE!! I SAID, APOLOGISE!" I choked out, finding it a bit hard to breath.

"[NAME]!!" Yuu yelled, Mika then came over to the vampire that was holding me and calmly stated

"Umm, I'm sorry. He's very stupid and there's something wrong with his head so please forgive him"

"AY?! I'M NOT STUPID!" I yelled "stop it Mika, nothing's gonna stop me from kicking this bas--" but I couldn't finish my sentence as the vampire walked over to the other side of the bridge (I think it's a bridge) and he dangled me over the edge, let me just say that it was probably a 1000km or more drop and I wasn't really content on dying just yet so a clawed at his hand and flailed around, trying to break free.

Before I heard another voice.

"Hello~" someone cooed, but I was too busy TRYING NOT TO DIE to turn around to see who it was

Mika ran over to the person "Ferid-sama! Please tell them to put [Name] down" he begged the person

I don't know what the person did but the vampires dropped me on the ground as I took a sharp intake of breath. I then stood up with the help of Yuu and said "I swear to god I wanted rip his guts out. Bastard" I whispered the last part. I looked up at the person who I'm guessing saved me

"A noble" Yuu scoffed at the vampire with silver hair

"Hello Mika. What were you doing just now?" He asked

"Oh, it's nothing. One of my family members was just causing some trouble..." Mika said, I scoffed at his choice of words

"My, you have so much to worry about" the vampire leaned closer to Mika as he stroked his hair "anyway, will you be coming to my mansion again tonight?"

"Yes please" Mika replied with a smile

"Good boy. Since you have such delicious blood you're very much welcomed"

"No!" I yelled as I ran in front of Mika, slapping the vampires hand away...

Hard.

I squeezed my eyes shut as I kept my hand where it was before I realised what I had just done, fear now residing in my eyes
'not only did I insult a vampire, but now I've hit a noble. Ugh, I'm gaining Yuu's traits'
"I-I'm so sorry sir, I don't know what I was doing" I bowed and when I looked back up to see him smiling at me as he pat my head. I nervously laughed as he continued talking

"What about you? Will you be joining us today?" He looked at me.Me being the stupid person I am (I know I denied it earlier but it's true) was oblivious to his stare and smirk but once I realised I pointed at myself

"You mean me?"

"Your blood smells" he inhaled "absolutely magnificent. Would you like to come too?" He asked me with a smirk as Mika gave me a frightened look. I looked at my hand to see I'd cut it 'probably when those vampires dropped me'

I looked over at the noble and nodded "If that will please you" I had to pay my gratitude to him somehow

"And what about you" he pointed at Yuu

"WHAT? Of course no--" Mika ran up and covered his mouth laughing nervously

"Hehe, he's pretty shy so maybe another time"

"Hm? That's too bad. See you later Mika-kun, [Name]-san" I froze as he walked off.

"How do you think he knew I was actually a girl?" I asked Yuu and Mika as we began to walk back to our complex.

"I'm not sure, that's quite odd since you look like a guy, short [Hair Colour] hair and you're even wearing the male uniform. Not to mention your voice is kinda deep. Makes me wonder what you'll sound like in four years" Mika said tapping his chin, giggling at the last part

"You shouldn't worry too much about it though, it's not like it's the end of the world" Yuu said

"Well our race is on the brink of extinction so technically it is the end the world but, meh."
