"Why did you apologise?" Yuu asked, angry

"You know there's no chance of us beating the vampires, they're too strong for us" Mika stated

"We won't know until we try" I smirked angrily, sharing my rage with Yuu

"Yeah yeah, you just keep fooling yourself. Look I get that you're angry but you need to be more careful alright? If Lord Ferid hadn't shown up you'd be dead"

"Yeah, but still." I sighed

"About that he seemed to know you pretty well" Yu joined

"Of course he does, we have a deal. I give him blood and he gives me whatever I want. He even serves dinner when I visit, it may seem wrong to you but you gotta use your head in this place if you wanna survive" I face palmed at Mika's everlasting smile

Then Yuu walked up to him and threw a punch at his head without me noticing and then did the same to me

"I don't think you should go to that noble [Name]" Yuu said, not turning around

"I'm strong enough, I can handle anything!" I yelled back enthusiastically, giving him a thumbs up and I saw him look at me from the corner of his eye before turning his head back around

"Wait! Yuu, isn't there anything you want?" Mika asked

"Not from you" and Yuu walked off

"Yuu's right [Name] I don't think you should go" Mika agreed

"Don't go treating me like I'm some little girl again, I'm not! I'm 12 and I can handle myself. I would've been a human pancake if it wasn't for him, and I hit him as well. I feel the need to repay him. Besides I would've come anyway, no way would I ever let you visit a vampire on your own" I said looking down, smiling sadly

"Haha, you're right" he laughed nervously "Also, why did you slap Lord Ferid's hand before?"

I froze "I don't know why but it's just a natural reflex for me to protect you. We've been together since we could remember, I don't know what I'd do without you so when people I don't know touch you I feel the need to protect you... Weird since you'd think as a girl I'd cower in fear" I chuckled sadly but Mika just gave me a bright smile "bloody stereotypes"

"I feel the same way. We've never really been apart before... Makes it hard to believe a life without you exists" Mika smiled even more before I looked back at Yuu's disappearing shadow

"Yuu!! Wait for us back at the house! We'll be back soon!" I yelled out to Yuu even though he was probably already gone, and Mika and I left for Lord Ferid's mansion

~~~~3rd POV~~~~

"You're here again?" Akane asked Yuu, finding him on a rooftop, walking down to sit next to him "what're you doing? Weren't you with [Name] and Mika?"

"No, I'm not with those idiots" he replied angrily

"Huh? What are you so upset about?"

"Be quiet and don't come near me" Yuu whined

"Why not? We're all one big family" she said shuffling closer

"I don't have a family"

"Yes, you do. The director told us everyone in the Hyakuya Orphanage is family" Akane smiled

"That's dumb" Yuu scoffed, remembering when he first came to the orphanage

"All right, everyone. Today we have a new family member, Yuichiro. Please do your best to make him feel welcome" the director explained

"HAI!" [Name] and Mika cheered cutely, punching the air with opposite hands

"Oi~ Yu!" He looked up to see Mika, [Name] and two other younger orphans

"I'm Mikaela and this is [Full First Name] but the director calls her Hiromi*. We're orphans just like you" Mika started

"But now we have a big family" [Name] continued

"And today, you've joined our family--" Mika was cut off

"'Family'? That's dumb" Yu scoffed "I'm here because my father tried to murder me, and my mother, she screamed about me being a demon child before committing suicide. Do you understand? To me, a family is just a--"

Mika put out his hand as [Name] stood there smiling "huh? That must've been hard. But starting today, we're your family" They cheerily said in unison, which showed they were very close. And I mean they were always around each other.

"Hey, let's go already. Everyone's waiting for you to come back so we can eat dinner" Akane said, standing up and beginning to walk back "come straight home, okay?" And she walked off
