Hitomi was relieved that the Final Selection was over. She felt gross and sweaty and wanted to have a bath.

The sun was glaring at her which caused the girl to put her mask and hood back on. Once she reached the shade a faint white string approached her and she was greeted by a bush of white and green in the form of her trainer.

"Akita-kun," she rushed over to him, looking him over for injuries but he was cleaner than her, so much cleaner that she wondered if he even had an encounter with a demon. "I'm glad that you're okay."

"Likewise."

She did notice that in his hands held a broken mask. She wanted to ask but she felt her battery for talking quickly wear out.

With their greetings done, the two of them headed up the mountain to see four people already there.

She looked down as they walked over to the twins.

'Only six people?' Hitomi questioned. She carefully looked at each individual.

There was a pretty girl who also looked uninjured playing with a butterfly. She was silent and had an elegance to her.

There was this yellow haired guy mumbling about how he was going to die. Hitomi avoided him after deciding that he was a bummer.

There was an angry looking boy with a large scar. He was quickly put on Hitomi's list of people to avoid.

Then there was...?

Hitomi moved to get a better look at the last kid when she noticed something.

Guilt washed over her as she realized that the scarred boy wasn't here.

'He didn't make it. I said such mean things to him... should I say a prayer? I don't know how to deal with that. I just have to say something nice, right? Hmm, may he rest in pea-'

"You were probably thinking "May he rest in peace" correct?!"

Her thoughts were interrupted by a familiar loud and obnoxious voice.

"If that's the case, rest well! There will be many named graves today but Hade Maro will not be one of them!"

Hitomi and Akita gaped at the boy, both in disbelief as they looked at his condition.

'How did he survive?' Both white haired teens thought. At this point everyone turned towards the figure of the extremely injured male. Despite the immense pain he must have been in, he was smiling as if it wasn't a big deal.

The yellow haired kid screeched at him and looked like he wanted to vomit.

Besides him, Hitomi, Akita, and the kid Hitomi didn't look at properly, nobody really paid Hade any mind, causing him to deflate and stand off to the side but not before he sent one last glare at Akita that went ignored.

"Welcome back" The black haired twin said.

"Congratulations. I am glad you are safe" The other finished.

"So what am I supposed to do now?" The angry looking boy with the scar said. "Where's my katana?"

"First, we will issue your uniforms. We will take your measurements then engrave your rank."

"There are ten ranks in total, Mizunoto, Mizunoe, Kanoto, Kanoe, Tsuchinoto, Tsuchinoe, Hinoto, Hinoe, Kinoto and Kinoe. You are now at the lowest level, Mizunoto."

"And our swords?" The boy asked again, seemingly getting less and less patient.

'We get it, you want one,' Hitomi thought with a sigh.
