The silence was defeaning. It was so awkward, you couldn't even put it into words. Neither of you were speaking or looking at eachother, but also were kinda forced to do that as there wasn't really any other space to look at.

The sound of his breathing was the only thing you could hear, and it was probably the same for him. You wanted to ignore eachother, but damn was the universe making it impossible. Or was it just your mothers?

"How well are you children settling in? Any common interests?" Your mom questioned, gleefully.

"Very well!" You replied, letting out a fake chuckle. "We actually have quite a lot in common,"

"That's enthusiastic coming from you." Scaramouche spoke, looking off to the view of the window on his side.

"Good to hear," Ms. Ei spoke. "I want Kuni socializing as much as possible. Please take care of that Y/n, will you?" She requested, in a stern yet polite voice.

"Kuni..? Oh." You replied, then realized his real name begun with that. You didn't quite remember what it was, though. Only because nobody ever used it, and everyone at school called him Scaramouche anyway.

"Kunikuzushi." His faint voice whispered in your ear suddenly, catching you off guard.

You looked at him blankly, wondering why he did that.

He just let out a dry chuckle and went back to staring off into the window, as if he'd realized you had forgotten his real name.

You hoped he hadn't realized, or maybe you'd just lie to him to embarass him. But unfortunately, he had more tricks up his sleeve.

Both of your mothers were conversing quite happily, and they had probably just thought they couldn't hear you two because of how loud they were being. But really, there still remained awkward air between you two.

You suddenly felt a soft touch on your cheek as you opened your eyes slowly. As you looked to the side to see who's touch it was, your eyes widened and you jumped towards the window whilst sitting, startled.

Scaramouche slightly chuckled at your reaction, as he replied in a low tone, "Did I scare you? Not that I care if I did."

"You didn't, bastard.." You snarked back. "Who do you even think you are," You spoke once again, as you looked out the window, noticing you had reached the airport.

"Well get out now," He said, as he got down from the car.

You took your bag and also got out of the car, as you covered your eyes with your hand since the sunlight was reflecting right on you. As you got down, you couldn't help but hear someone snicker.

"Can't handle a little bit of sunlight?" Scaramouche snarked, as he slung his bag over one arm.

"Can't handle your girlfriend?" You accidentally let out, probably cause of the pent up frustration you had lingering.

Things got awkward immediately, and both of you just stood waiting for your mothers. But who wouldn't be done with Lumine's antics? You sure as hell were. Though, it did seem like you were bluffing right now as you didn't say anything after.

As you stood, you decided to just take your phone out and turn the reception on as you could just text your friends anyways. Better than being in this situation, you thought.
