We are in the Lake Territories where a Great Battle was taking place. A battle mixing living cats and death ones... Good against Evil...

In the Good side, there were the Four Clans (Riverclan, Thunderclan, Shadowclan and Windclan), Starclan and the Tribe of Endless Hunting while on the Evil side, there was the Dark Forest.

Riverclan was led by Mistystar, Shadowclan by Blackstar, Windclan by Onestar and Thunderclan by Firestar who was the one to convince the others to fight together one more time like they did many moons ago against Scourge and Bloodclan.

The Dark Forest / the Place of No Stars, unlike Starclan, was were cats that have committed great crimes against the Warrior Codes or the Clans went after they died. Among them, were Brokenstar, Darkstripe, Thistleclaw , Mapleshade and Tigerstar with the later as Leader of the Dark Forest Cats.

However, the Dark Forest also recruited some cats from the Livings like Breezepelt of Windclan or Ivypool from Thunderclan (even if the molly later became a spy for the Clans). The Dark Forest trained for a long time to take over the Clans and dominated the territories but their enemies wouldn't let them win so easily.

Led by Firestar, the Four Clans along with Starclan, Midnight the Badger and the Tribe of Endless Hunting went into battle against their evil enemies for the future of the Clans. Everywhere around the lake, there was nothing but cries of agony, anger and pain or exchanges of bite and claws.

We could Cats from different Clans in each other's territory, fighting together like they did so many moons ago when their old territory, The Forest, was menaced by Scourge and his ruthless rogues of Bloodclan.

But we won't be talking about the whole battle but the one we are interesting in right now opposing Sandstorm, a pale ginger she-cat with barely visible stripes of darker fur and leaf-green eyes and a she-cat from the Dark Forest (and one of its elder ones), Mapleshade, a ragged tortoiseshell-and-white she-cat with amber eyes.

"Who are you?" Sandstorm asked to the tortoiseshell with narrowed eyes

"You should know who I am," the Dark Forest she-cat hissed back "ThunderClan destroyed my life!"

Sandstorm frowned in confusion before asking "What's your name?"

"My name's Mapleshade!" With a hiss, she lunged forward, landing on Sandstorm and pushing her muzzle into the earth.

"I'm going to make you pay for every blessing StarClan gave you!" Mapleshade growled into Sandstorm's ear before adding "And every blessing they stole from me!"

The ginger molly tried to shake her opponent off, but it was as if her whole body turned to stone.

"You have everything that I wanted, Sandstorm ! A mate that loved me, kits that I could watch grow up and have kits of their own, the respect of my Clanmates ! I should have had all that !" Mapleshade hissed to Sandstorm as she grasped the ginger she-cat's throat in her jaws.

Sandstorm jerked with pain as Mapleshade bit harder into her neck , stopping her from breathing. Firestar's mate struggled for breath as the world slowly blurred in front of her. But then the pressure she felt on her neck disappeared quickly and she took a deep breath, she heard Mapleshade whispering softy into her ears
