Coming down from the staircase, I was followed closely behind Crade and the male attendants who had meticulously prepared me for Frisu's Birthday Celebration, an event to be held at the majestic palace in Scanolos. I wore an ensemble of black and blue, the chosen hues symbolizing the pride and heritage of our family. Draped over my shoulders was a regal cape, emblazoned on the back with the emblem of a Blue Phoenix, a symbol of our lineage and strength.

As I reached the bottom of the stairs, I saw my mother and Vel waiting for me. I finally descended and was taken aback by my mother's attire. Gazing up at her, I couldn't help but speak my mind.

"Is that what you are going to wear?" I asked, my tone filled with curiosity. She looked at me, puzzled, before picking me up and cradling me in her arms.

"Yes, what's the problem?" she inquired, her expression matching my confusion.

"Why do you always wear something that makes you look like you're about to go to war?" I questioned, my face full of judgment. She was clad entirely in black with hints of red, wearing pants instead of a dress, and the emblem of a Blue Phoenix adorned the back of her top.

"This is how I like it, don't you dare judge me, kid," she said, playfully poking my forehead. I continued to regard her critically.

"Can we at least get rid of the arrows and bow hanging on your back? I don't think we need that," I suggested.

"You never know, I might want to shoot someone's eye socket if they get on my nerves," she replied bluntly, causing my eyes to widen.

"That's exactly what we don't want to do if we want our plan to succeed. Mother, take that off and leave it here now," I insisted, my tone serious.

"How interesting that you order me around, and I feel like you're almost threatening me," she remarked, raising her right eyebrow.

"It's either that or you have to wear a dress," I said, making both her and Vel look shocked. I knew my mother despised dresses, always complaining about how hot and restrictive they were.
