The walk over to the boys house was hot. For a summer day in Shinganshina, 50 degrees is just too hot. "Armin are you exited!" Armin's mother, Linda, said as they turned the sidewalk corner. Armin looked down onto the ground holing his folder of music sheets close to his chest "I'm a little nervous..." He honestly said.
"Don't be."
"What if they don't like me..."
"Sweetie, I told you not to worry."
"I'm sorry."
"Don't apologize. You'll be fine! I promise. I've known Kalura for a long time and her husband was a amazing pianist back in his day, he can help you improve and that's what you want right?"
"Right." He agreed with his mother and they kept on walking. His mother had taught him how to play the piano since he was 4, even as a toddler Armin had a little piano that he played all the time to the point where his father wanted to get rid of it. Sadly for his father they didn't get rid of the tiny piano.
"I think this will be good for you. You haven't been hung out with anyone your age ever since we moved here."
"How old is the boy again?"
"He's 10, just a year older than you."
"He's going to hate me."
Luckily for Armin his mother didn't hear him, he wasn't up for a lecture about thinking everyone hating him anyway.
All the houses looked the same, just different colours. Even though the house he he was going to was just around the corner the walk felt like it was 4 blocks away. When Armin and his mother came across to the little brown house Armin's mother looked down onto him "You want me to walk up with you?" She asked placing her hand on Armin's back which made him jump. Armin shook his head and took a step forward toward the house walkway "If you need anything just call." She informed him as she started to walk back over to their house. Slowly Armin approached the door regretting his decision on walking up to the house alone. When he reached the house he rung the door bell and after a second a girl with long black hair opened the door.
"Armin?" She asked and Armin nodded "Yeah that's---" "Come in, Grisha might be a little late." She said and back away from the door so that Armin could come in. The raven headed girl guided Armin into the living room and sat him down onto the couch "My name is Mikasa by the way. The dimwit over there is my brother Eren." She said pointing over at the dining room table where a boy with messy brown hair sat colouring. He turned around and the first thing Armin noticed was his bright green eyes.
"Just because I'm not in the same room with you doesn't mean I can't hear you!"
"Eren don't yell!" His mother scolded him and walked out of the kitchen. She looked over to where Armin sat on the living room couch and smiled. "Oh Armin! You've grown up so much since I've last seen you." She said walking over to Armin who was very confused thinking that he should remember her, Maybe?
"My name is Kalura, if you forget just ask." She said reaching out and shook his hand.
"So I heard from your mother that you wanted to learn more about the piano, yeah?"
"Yeah... My mom said that she taught me all that she knew so she thought it was time for someone else to help me out."
"Well I know that Grisha will do all that he can to help you. Now, I must go back to working on supper."
As she walked back over to the kitchen she stopped by Eren and whispered something to him. After Kalura reached the kitchen Eren got out of his chair and walked over to Armin and Mikasa.
