Noe's P.O.V
"Alan! Where are you?" I was currently trying to find Alan; he made me come back to the house with him from the beach, he supposedly "forgot" something.
"I'm in here, Noe!" he shouted from upstairs. I started going up the stairs, skipping two to three steps at a time of course. As I got on the second floor of the house, I walked down the main hallway to see if Alan was in one of those rooms. No, he was not in any of the three rooms in the hallway; those rooms were Phil's, Alan's, and Tino's.
I think I forgot to check the bathroom and my room to see if he was in there. As I was about to shut the door to Alan's room, I turned around and Alan was just standing there making my heart stop. "Jesus Christ, Alan, what are you doing? Are you trying to kill me?"
He chuckled and then looked at me suspiciously, "Noe, I left my phone in your room so I came back to get it. What's so wrong with that? Why were you in my room?"
I was trying to calm down from getting the shit scared out of me. "Okay, first off Alan, I didn't know where you were up here so I just looked around for you. I was in your room to check if you were in there. I couldn't find you until now."
"You okay, Noe? You've been kind of acting weird especially since I asked you to go surfing with us."
"It's nothing Alan, geez, hop off my balls."
He gave me a lighthearted face, "Ha. Hop off your balls, you do not even have balls. Anyway, you must have woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning or something, oh wait, that's right...I was on the other side of the bed that you didn't sleep on."
I scoffed and playfully slapped his arm. "Okay, I'll just tell you. I have a huge migraine right now and your stupidity and scaring the shit out of me isn't helping."
He slightly frowned, "I'm sorry Noe, you like the stupidity though."
I smiled, "Yes, I do. I'm sorry I yelled at you. Can I have a hug?"
"Duh, you don't even have to ask me for one."
His embrace felt so warm and forgiving. "Let's get going Noe, teaching you how to surf is going to be so much fun." He took my hand and led me downstairs.
Déjà vu much?
As we were about to leave the house he petted Nala and Sophie, I did as well. He grabbed the doorknob in his other hand about to close the door he locked it and looked at me, "You know, just in case someone tries to get in and take our kittens. Always have to be safe, Noe. Especially in this neighborhood...classy fuckers."
I laughed, "Alan, this neighborhood is not classy, and it's....normal. Hell, I don't even know let's just go."
He smiled at me and opened the car door for me, "Ladies first."
"Awe, thank you sweet ginger named Alan," I gave him a cheesy grin. He closed the door, ran over onto the driver's side, opening his door then closed it, and buckled himself in, as did I.
He started the car and sped out of the driveway. As we got on the main road, he must have been staring at me because I felt some kind of force to look at him, but as I turned my head from looking out the window. He put his hand on my thigh where my hand was and gently interlocked our fingers. He took the hand that was holding mine and put his lips gently on the back of my hand: a gentle kiss.
His mouth was open just a little bit, like as if he was going to say something. He looked at me now, "Noe, are you thirsty or anything like that?"
I shook my head no, "I'm okay, but thanks for caring about me Alan."
He smirked at me; I think he knows my weakness to that smirk. "I know this smirk kills you on the inside." Damn it.
"Uh....no, it doesn't."
"Yes, it does. You always make this funny face like as if you ate too many warheads."
I pictured the thought of so many warheads and made a sour face.
He divided our hands and pointed at me, "That's the face!"
"Ugh, whatever, we're here anyways."
He shifted the gear into park and grabbed his keys from the ignition. After getting out of the car, Alan immediately ripped his shirt off. Exactly when he was pulling it over his head, someone familiar saw him and ran up to us, "Hey, Alan, cool cat chest tatt, bro."
I recognized him; it was Aaron, the recent replacement for Shayley, I didn't mind Aaron, but I met him before they went on tour four months ago. He became close with all the guys, which I was pretty stoked about, but why didn't he recognize me? "Oh, hey Noe, haven't seen you in a while."
"Hey Aaron, what's the haps?"
"Eh, nothing much, hanging out with you guys for today. Austin and Tino invited me."
"Awesome," Alan and I both said at the same time.
"Whoa, that's weird. Is it some kind of girlfriend-boyfriend telepathy thing?"
"I guess," we both did it again; we even shrugged at the same time.
"Okay, well, I'm going back to surfing because this is freaking me the fuck out." He walked away frantically. While Alan and I were giggling about how Aaron's eeriness of our "girlfriend-boyfriend telepathy".
"Time to go surfing, Noe," he held my hand while his other hand held his surfboard and tried trudging me along to the shore.
"Uh...I don't know, Alan, I'm kind of afraid of the water."
He gasped, "That's the biggest lie I have ever heard, we always play in the pool and we've been to the ocean before. What is so wrong with it today?"
"I don't know I'm just not feeling it today. I'll just walk along the shore for a while if that's okay?"
"Yeah, Noe, It's fine. Just be careful, okay?"
"Okay, I'll be good."
He puckered his lips and leaned in while I did the same and our lips molded together so perfectly for a sweet simple kiss. Then he smiled before pulling away from my lips. "I'll see you in a little while."
I started walking; I couldn't help but think of how Alan even started liking me. He didn't like me last time he was home from tour, why now. Since when did he enjoy kissing me? In addition, why does it feel so right to be with my brother's best friend? Is that not a big no-no when it comes to dating? Well, I thought it was but I broke that barrier a long time ago. It feels so right to be with Alan.
