As the first rays of dawn painted the sky with hues of orange and pink, Aria's voice cut through the stillness of the morning, rousing Lyra from her slumber. "Wake up, Lyra! We have a class," she called out, her tone urgent.
Blinking away the remnants of sleep, Lyra sat up in bed, her mind still foggy with dreams. "What class?" she mumbled groggily, rubbing her eyes.
"It's the most important one, Lyra. Healing power," Maya chimed in, her voice filled with excitement. "It starts at 6, and it's already 5. Come on, we need to get ready."
With a sigh, Lyra reluctantly dragged herself out of bed and reached for the clothes that Aria held out to her. As she slipped into the new attire, she couldn't help but smile at Aria's words. "No one will believe you're just a human. You look like the perfect magical Eldorian," Aria teased, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
Joining Maya and Aria in the dining hall, Lyra was greeted by the tantalizing aroma of freshly cooked food. The hall was abuzz with activity as students bustled about, filling their plates with an assortment of delicious dishes.
The sight of the food made Lyra's stomach growl in anticipation, and she wasted no time in helping herself to a hearty breakfast. The cookers on brooms served them steaming bowls of porridge, plates of crispy bacon, and fluffy scrambled eggs, all accompanied by slices of freshly baked bread and pots of golden honey.
"This looks amazing," Lyra exclaimed, her mouth watering at the sight of the feast laid out before them.
"Indeed it does," Maya agreed, her eyes alight with pleasure. "Let's dig in."
As they ate, Max piped up with a question that had been on his mind. "Why is the healing class so important?" he asked, his brow furrowed with curiosity.
Matteo swallowed a mouthful of food before answering. "Well, there are four main spiritual powers that a magical being of Aetheria could possess," he explained. "And healing power is one of them. It's not something you can achieve with just a few days of practice, unless you're truly extraordinary."
"Internal spiritual powers are the most powerful of all," Maya added, her voice filled with reverence. "Even the Zyrenians have them."
As they finished their meal and made their way to the classroom, Lyra couldn't shake the feeling of anticipation that bubbled within her. Today's lesson held the promise of unlocking a new aspect of her magical abilities, and she was eager to dive in headfirst.
Upon entering the classroom, they were greeted by Emeric and his friends, their smirks and whispers causing Lyra's hackles to rise. Ignoring their taunts, Lyra took her seat beside Maya and Aria, her eyes fixed on the front of the room where the teacher would soon appear.
Just as the class was about to begin, Lyra's eyes fell upon the teacher as she entered the room. Tall and elegant, with flowing robes and a stern expression, she commanded respect with her mere presence.
With a warm smile, the teacher began the lesson, her words flowing effortlessly as she imparted her knowledge of healing magic to the eager students.
But as the lesson progressed, tensions began to rise between Lyra and Emeric. Their exchange of words grew sharper with each passing moment, until it escalated into a full-blown argument that threatened to disrupt the entire class.
"Why don't you mind your own business, Emeric?" Lyra snapped, her voice tinged with annoyance. "I don't need your commentary on my magical abilities."
Emeric's lips curled into a smirk as he leaned back in his chair, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "I'm just trying to help, Lyra. After all, someone needs to keep an eye on you," he retorted, his tone laced with condescension.
