The grand halls of Eldorian School were alive with celebration, a kaleidoscope of colors and sounds marking the triumph of unity and peace. Lyra stood at the entrance, watching the jubilant crowd with a mixture of awe and contentment.
"This is so much more than I ever imagined, I never wanted to be a hero," Lyra murmured, her eyes scanning the lively scene.
Maya, standing beside her, nodded in agreement. "Neither us,I never thought we'd end up here, in the middle of such a celebration."
Aria, to Lyra's left, smiled wistfully. "Today will be remembered in Aetheria's history, written in gold letters."
Lyra sighed, her gaze drifting to the horizon. "It feels like the end of an era, a departure of two suns."
From behind them, Emeric's voice, laced with a hint of mischief, chimed in. "Ah, but it's also the dawn of seven new suns, don't you think?"
Lyra turned, surprised. "You're here too?"
Emeric nodded, his expression sincere. "Yes. We owe you all an apology. Don't take everything we said as mere compliments. Because of your bravery, we were safe. We needed to tell you that."
Aric, standing next to Emeric, added with a rueful smile, "Without you, we might have saved Aetheria, but we wouldn't have had a chance to truly make a difference."
Laughter bubbled up, easing the tension of past conflicts. As they made their way into the school, Lyra chuckled, "Well, that was unexpectedly kind."
Maya glanced around, searching for familiar faces. "But where's Caleb and the others?"
Lyra's face grew concerned. "Oh no, I forgot. Liam was badly hurt. I need to find someone to help him."
Aria, sensing Lyra's distress, placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Lyra, you can heal him. You've always had that power."
Lyra's eyes lit up with realization. "Of course. You are correct."
They hurried through the bustling hallways, pushing open a door to find Caleb, concentrating intently as he healed Liam with his own magic.
Lyra approached, her heart sinking as she saw the extent of Liam's injuries. "Brother," she said softly, "you have magic too?"
Caleb glanced up, his smile weary but warm. "Just a bit. I thought I'd help out."
Lyra moved closer, her hands glowing as she began to take over the healing. "Let me finish this for you."
As her magic flowed over Liam's wounds, she spoke, her voice trembling with emotion. "Liam, I'm so sorry. This was my problem, not yours. You didn't deserve these injuries."
Liam looked at her with gentle eyes. "No, Lysandra. I chose this path. Everything happens for a reason. I've learned so much because of it."
Lyra's heart ached as she worked her magic. "I wish I could undo all the pain you've faced. I wish... I wish I could keep you safe forever."
Liam's gaze softened. He reached out and gently took her hand. "Being with you is what makes me feel most alive. No matter what happens, my heart is yours."
Lyra's eyes widened as she noticed the depth of his feelings. "Did you... did you say something?"
Liam hesitated, his voice barely a whisper. "No, I didn't say anything. But... I've never met someone like you before."
Lyra's cheeks flushed with a warm blush. "Well, I always feel worthwhile when I'm with you."
Liam's eyes searched hers, his heart full of unspoken emotions. "Did you say anything?"
