Love / hate relationship

" Did you go outside today " little freya's dad asked .
He was met with silence
"Answer me , dammit , freya" he hits his hands on the wall . A woman walks in immediately and carried little freya away .

" I have told her to stop going outside, she doesn't need friends they would betrayal her one day too " he screamed out at them .

Freya's pov

I woke up with a heavy chest, I dreamt about my father, something i hadn't done in a long time. I guess it was because yesterday Isabelle said something he used to say a lot .what happened yesterday was also something I had to think about , I mean a lot happened. I guess the saying ' a lot can happen in a day ' is quite right . I could not imagine in a million years that I would cry about what has been weighing me down and Isabelle would be the one to comfort me although she was the one who triggered it . I had a  hate and love relationship with my dad . He wasn't physically abusive , he had never laid his hands on me , terry or my mum instead he goes for the wall or any object available next to him. Is a shame I had to witness this from the age of six . My mum was my saviour and I am forever grateful, I could literally do anything for her.

My mum says my dad was a wonderful man but things got bad with his business, something about his partner betraying him and it changed him , the betraying stuff hurt him more than him loosing his whole business, he had considered them as family. I guess that explains why my father didn't want me to have any friends he always told me that blood is all that matters but not all blood. He said that a lot that it got stuck to my head. after his death , my mum insisted that I must have friends. That's why this who friendship stuff is confusing but I can't say no to my mum .

I glanced at my clock realising I had been up for a while and not acting like I had school today . I immediately went to shower , then found a random top and skirt to put on . I headed downstairs for breakfast.

Terry and his girlfriend were already having pancakes for breakfast. I scan around, mum wasn't home today either. She has been getting a lot of shifts, another reason I should get a job asap .

" morning " I greeted gaining their attention

" morning didn't see you come back yesterday " terry spoke. Sometimes he acts like my mum not like I mind but still...

" you were probably having sex with your girlfriend that's why" his girlfriend emily turned red immediately. It was just a silly comment but from her reaction I guess they did actually have sex yesterday night. I grabbed a plate and sat down.

" at least some of us are having sex where as you can't even get a decent friend , talk more getting a boyfriend or a girlfriend , that's before we even get to the sex part... it's kind of pathetic " he spoke like he just won a medal and was giving a speech. I couldn't help but chuckle

" what's funny "

" well if you must know I had sex yesterday at the party " I grabbed a piece of pancake and put on my plate . I look up to see my brother choking ,throwing up the last bite of the pancake he had while his girlfriend rubbed his back gently. He grabbed and jogged down a glass of water quickly

" you can't be serious " he looked shocked but my attention was on emily cause she was a little confused on what was going on . Poor girl

" but I am "

" with who " he eyed me

" luna "

" who's that , never heard of her , when and where did you meet her " okay he was definitely interrogating me

" not your business " I knew I was still going to tell him, he was going to insist , he was literally my unwanted diary .

" yes it is , I have to know you weren't drugged or something "

" fine, I met her yesterday, she seems interesting and she turned out to be Isabelle's cousin. Terry frowned for a second and then a smile appeared on his face. Quick one is it weird that I think my brother is weird. But thinking about it now we are the same , everyone thinks I'm weird too , a little more weird if I may add

" I wouldn't lie I'm a bit surprised that you would hook up with a stranger but I don't mind since it is a girl and I don't have to worry about you getting pregnant " he paused to see me give the ' you think I don't know how to use protection ' expression
" well do you like her , do you like girls " he continued

" nope to each question " I see my brother nodding his head in disapproval

" well I honestly don't know, I can say for sure that I did like the sex " I took the third bite of my pancake and then I knew I couldn't take it any more .

" okay " my phone beep showing me that I got a message from Isabelle

Isabelle : I'm outside, are you ready.

She was here to pick me up , I texted back saying I was coming out right now .

" I'm heading out now "

" you didn't finish your pancake "

"Those pancakes are disgusting" I said finding a random shoe to put on

" but Emily say they were delicious " he gave emily a look who in turn looks away

" well now you know your girlfriend is a liar " I said with a small smile on my face . emily gave the ' I had no choice' look. I chuckled and headed straight out .

I sighted Isabelle's car and headed straight to it , her windows were open so I could see her and she could see me , willow was seated next to her in the passenger seat

" how are you " Isabelle asked once I was close enough . That was new she would normally ask me to hurry and get in the car so we don't go late

" fine , you? " I asked getting into the car just to be met by luna staring at me with a smirk on her face. I wasn't surprised at all I mean she is Isabelle's cousin although I expected that she might have her own car and drive to school not join us . I don't mind though .
