Be Brave

I thought I was brave
When I stepped into your house,
Brave enough to say yes,
Brave enough to want more.

I had a gut feeling,
But why would it matter
When I felt out in space?
When I felt alive?

Then our bodies started moving,
There was no air in my lungs,
And suddenly, I wasn't brave anymore.
The reality had sunk in.

You lied about your nights,
And I felt used.
Now I'm the one who remembers all your kisses
Every time you pass by my mind.
