Meanwhile, at the Atlanta Police station, Alex Kane, a young police detective, was looking on his computer, searching for crimes. He got notified about a crime due to the phone ringing and he answered it.

"Atlanta Police Department, what is your emergency?" He asked the caller.

"There has been a robbery in Fernbank Museum at the Persian exhibit!" The woman on the phone alerted. "Someone stole the green Persian Emerald!"

"I am on it!" He hung up. "Ladies and Gents, let's get rolling, because we're headed to the museum!" Four other officers joined him in the investigation. They got in the blue Atlanta Police cars and headed to Fernbank.

Once they had arrived at the Persian exhibit, they were slowly moving, trying to locate the crime scene.

"Over there!" An officer pointed to a broken case where the Persian Emerald would be. Alex laid out the yellow tape, securing the crime scene.

"Who could have done this?" Alex was puzzled. There was a notecard that had a black letter G inscribed in a horseshoe on it.

"The emblem of the Ten Gervaise." Alex confirmed. He pulled out an evidence bag from his gray denim jacket with a white star inside a blue circle on the back. He read the notecard before inserting it in the bag.

From Persia with love,

I stole this beautiful diamond because it is a symbol of my culture.

Sincerely,

Zarid.

"That bastard!" Alex inserted the notecard into the evidence bag. "This investigation will continue elsewhere." Alex and his officer squad left the museum to find more clues for the Zarid case. They got back in the squad cars and zoomed off. When they stopped at Piedmont Park, they saw some lions roaming around. One of them charged for the car. It rammed into the car, tipping it over. Alex bailed out and rolled, surviving the attack. He ran for his life before the car detonated. When it did, Zarid revealed himself, standing near the park bathhouse.

"Foolish human." Alex went for his gun and shot the lion.

"Oh, that's just Robert." Zarid pointed out. "Alas, poor Robert, I only knew him for so long."

"That lion tried to kill me!" Alex raised his voice, meaning that he was mad.

"Figured out my plan?" Zarid had the emerald attached to a large ray gun.

"Let me guess, you are going to use that gun to turn the Atlanta residents into lions so they kill each other, am I correct?" Alex already assumed Zarid's plan before he could monologue. "The lion is a symbol of Persian culture, and you want to turn everyone into this savage beast so they can kill each other, distracted while Annabelle, your boss, takes over."

"Exactly, how did you figure out my plan?" Zarid was shocked how Alex figured out his plan.

'It's all part of being a good detective." He pointed his gun at Zarid's ray gun, fired and broke the ray gun, sending the emerald flying in the air. Alex caught it with his hands. The reverse effect turned all the lions back into humans, but turned Zarid into a lion. Alex knew what to do with the lion. The zookeeper from the Atlanta Zoo showed up, knowing there were lions running around Piedmont Park.

"Mr. Zookeeper, I have your new prisoner!" The zookeeper took the lion away, leading it into a cage mounted on a truck, and drove away to the Zoo Atlanta. Alex looked at his phone to see what was going on in the news, and it said Bria Lancaster of the Tiger Lady Corps was hospitalized. He recalled Bria as his childhood friend from growing up in San Francisco. He remembered living across the street from her.

"I need to check on her." Alex knew what he had to do. He ran for an empty golf cart and took it.

"This is an emergency!" He said to himself. He took the golf cart and drove down the road to the Northside Hospital to find Bria and take care of her.
