Is Josè secretly evil?

At some point in the movie, Donald and Josè shrink to fit inside a book, but have to grow back to normal size when they get out.

Josè describes his growing method as "just a little black magic".

Black magic is actually the term used for evil activities. 

So if Josè has to use black magic, does that mean he's secretly evil?
