Von couldn't even begin to express how shocked he was.

The meeting had begun forty minutes ago, and throughout the meeting, he had barely payed attention to the words being spoken. Instead, his attention remained solely on Maelani.

The enthralling woman who stole a permanent space in his mind since that night they had met two months ago. Since that night, he found himself hoping that somehow they would cross paths again, or that he would find her somewhere on social media and perhaps ask her for her number like he wished he would've done before they parted ways that night.

Eventually, he lost hope and became certain that the night they met two months ago was unfortunately the last he would ever see of her.

Whole time, she's been right under his nose and he didn't even know it.

Other architects that were considered allies of Kingston Corp since his father was the CEO, couldn't seem to fix the main issues of his hotel the way he wanted them fixed. Dayvon went through meeting after meeting for a whole month and to his dismay, there was still no solution. So, instead of looking for a new firm that he would most likely waste his time with, he reached out to Zion who has been an acquaintance of his for years now.

Zion had been telling him all about one of his top department heads who was practically a master at designing in general and how much he admired her and her skills. To find out that Maelani was said department head surprised Von more than he'd care to admit. Considering her high position in the architect world, he knew that she had to have been working for Zion for quite a while.

"Any ideas on how to begin?"

Dayvon was snapped out of his thoughts once Zion spoke up. He glanced around the conference table, watching as everyone remained quiet due to their fear of speaking in front of him. Just being in his presence and knowing how powerful he was, was enough to quake nervousness in each of them.

"Maelani? You wanna share anything?" Zion questioned again making all eyes fall on her as she lifted her head, making direct eye contact with Dayvon.

"Well, from the way you described the leaking situation and how it affected the hotel altogether, I think it would be smart to just completely redesign the exterior and interior of the buildings with a more open concept."

"You mind elaborating a little more for me?" Asked Dayvon as he held her strong gaze with an equally strong stare.

She nodded, tucking a loose tendril of hair behind her ear as she stood up. Dayvon's eyes followed her every movement as she made her way to the front, subtly licking his lips as he did so. To him, her beauty simply couldn't be topped. And it took everything in him to not pull her out of the room and fuck her senselessly.
