Life is ever changing,
The ebb and flow of fate and fiction becoming blurred
I stay sane through escapism,
Through forgetting. If I stay in my mind I don't feel it.
I don't feel the stabbing pain constricting my chest,
Don't feel my cheeks growing tired as the puppeteers strings become worn
Nor the sharp glass shards stuck in my throat as tears stay hidden behind my eyes.I am numb.
I feel myself breaking,
But keep it pressed deep inside the furthest pockets of my mind,
The place I go to when I zone out,At night,
When I can keep my fears contained within the covers,
Silent screams and tear stained blankets
Gone by the morning
Ready to fake it again.
