Outside, she finds Arjun and Riya. Arjun's face held a million questions, but before he could ask anything, Khushi says, "Let's go to the canteen."
They enter the empty canteen and sit in a corner, getting something to eat.
Khushi finally speaks up, "Arjun, ask whatever you need to ask. And stop giving me those looks like I've grown horns on my head."
Arjun starts slowly, "Okay... Today in class, you walked out on Sir. You never do that. No matter how rebellious you are, you wouldn’t do something like that. What happened? And just now, when we went to meet Arnav Sir, he locked the door from the inside, didn’t he? Did he do something to you? Are you okay?"
He was genuinely worried about her. She was acting out of character, and everything seemed different around him. He didn’t know what to make of the situation.
Khushi looked worriedly at Arjun. Arjun and Riya were her best friends. They had been friends for a long time and meant a lot to her.
She slowly starts, "Arjun... actually... I got married last week. I’m sorry I couldn’t tell you earlier because I was scared and didn’t know how to say it. The marriage just happened due to some circumstances, and we didn’t have a proper ceremony or reception." She stops, looking at Arjun’s face. He’s in shock, frozen, just staring at her.
Riya calls out, "Arjun, Arjun... oiii idiot." She shakes him.
Khushi, worried, says, "Arjun, say something... you’re scaring me."
Still in shock, Arjun slowly asks, "Who did you marry? Is he treating you well? And what happened that you had to marry so suddenly out of nowhere?"
Khushi starts explaining everything from the beginning, assuring him that she’s fine and that her mother-in-law and Arnav are treating her like a princess.
By the end of the story, Arjun is even more shocked to hear that her husband is none other than Arnav, their professor. He feels a bit sad because he had a little crush on Khushi, but he quickly shrugs the thought away.
