"You know, I never took you as the ungrateful type, if I am to be quite honest with you." My eyes glance over at Reid, who basically side eyes me. "I thought you enjoyed the little things."

"I do—"

"Then surely you enjoy the big things as well? Like the fact that it's an all paid expense! It's basically a vacation, really, and you seem far from impressed. That's ungrateful of you."

Scoffing, I lean over and press the elevator button before turning to him. "I am grateful, I'll have you know. Just because I am not making a big deal of it like you were, doesn't mean I am not gateful. I think it's cool that we were even invited, if anything, because you and I both know we are not deserving of it."

"Oh, no, don't categories us. I am well deserving of it. I dedicate a lot of my time here, I deserve something major in return."

We're discussing some business event taking place about a week and a few from now. Micah spoke about it, though he had his estimated times wrong. It is an all paid expense considering the location about a five hour drive, according to Reid. Now, Reid is over the moon for reasons I am sure go beyond the fact that the company agreed to paid for the expense — that being, our hotel rooms, food and transport — and honestly, I am also happy. Not too estatic, and I can't exactly point out why, but nonetheless, I am happy.

The agenda of the meeting we just came from informed us about what we need to know and how things will work. I am pleased that they offered to provide location, though it's a drive those that want to fly will have to pay out of their own pocket. I could do that but, is it worth it? I can't say as yet.

My Monday morning is going good, to say the least.

"Reid. I am excited. Believe me. Plus, won't it be the first time we actually go somewhere distant together? We could make the most of it together. I am sure there should be some activities there, or we could go check the area out and stuff."

The boy smiles, standing arrogantly so as he runs his hand through his hair, rolling his eyes as though flattered. "Right, so you do enjoy spending time with me."

"When you aren't being a pain in the butt, yes." I giggle when he rolls his eyes yet again, this time dissmissively.

The elevator dings open, out comes a few people so we step to the side politely before entering. There are two other people here, chattering away though in hushed tones. Reid and I stand towards the one side across the mirror. I press the lower button, noticing the ground floor button is still lit; I'm assuming the two are headed down. Reid simply stand there, confidently running his hand through his hair again as he watches himself, then adjusts his shirt neatly.

"They did say other companies would be there, right?" I ask him in a hushed tone, meanwhile watching the doors close. "I saw other logos on the pamphlet."

"Something like that but I think they still need to confirm it."

"I think we should research the location, just to get an idea of how it looks."

"I did." He sighs slight as he turns to me. "It's more of a conference location than a hotel, though they have a hotel for people who would prefer staying there. I think that's where we'll be staying."

"No, but I heard other people would be staying at a different location."

"Maybe the executives will stay there and they'll host us at a different location. I guess we'll see when we get there."

With a small hum, I watch as the two ladies exit the elevator once we arrive at their floor. Though, more people step in and to my surprise, so does Micah. His hands are in his pockets, head lowered so the front of his hair lingers down and shields parts of his face. Now, I am standing besides Reid, and the few that come in stand between Micah and I. One of them reach over and press their desired button, encouraging the shiny doors to close
