AFTER TWO WHOLE WEEKS OF NEVER SETTING foot outside the house, it was high time for her to go back to school. the scratches and bruises that were covering her body from head to toe have faded away but some were still visible especially on her arms. however, her school uniform was long sleeve so it wasn't an issue. thanks to her friends, oikawa and iwaizumi, she managed to catch up with every lesson. they would go everyday to y/n's class and ask one of her classmates to copy their lectures. she was grateful beyond words for having friends like them. the female was physically ready to go back to school, but mentally, she was still scared. the incident left a big scar on her life, but behind that scar, strength was slowly forming. despite her nervousness, she felt some sort of power bubbling inside her, she didn't hold any grudge towards maya but if she ever tried to make a move, y/n will now face her without any problem.
the female twisted the bottle's lid off before gently applying the transparent lotion on her arms and legs. the feeling of the cold liquid against her bare skin made her shiver slightly, but it also felt really nice. after she finished covering all of her red marks with the lotion, she closed the bottle and put it back on her nightstand before walking downstairs to grab something to eat. iwaizumi has been reminding her every single day to eat and never skip her meals. everytime she sees his little texts, warmth would embrace her whole body with how caring he was.
once she finished making her breakfast, ramen suddenly jumped on the kitchen counter and rubbed his head against her arm. y/n giggled softly and planted a kiss on his head.
"I'm going back to school today ramen, you can have your girlfriend over if you want."
she softly ran her fingers through his soft, white fur. ramen stared at her for few seconds before slowly biting her finger lightly, causing her to laugh.
the neighbor's cat was a beautiful female grey cat that caught ramen's eye, everyday he would stand in front of the window and keep staring at her while she does the same. sometimes, y/n would let her over and give her some food while her owner is gone for work.
after she finished cleaning the counter and washing the dishes, a loud knock could be heard on her door. she wiped her hands with a napkin, kissed her cat and walked towards the door before putting on her shoes. taking a deep breath, y/n turned the doorknob and she was immediately met with iwaizumi who was standing in front of the door while his eyes were fixed on the bright, blue sky. the way the sun was reflecting on his beautiful olive eyes and the soft wind gently breezing through his hair was absolutely hypnotizing. his breathtaking beauty was on a whole different level, beyond perfection. she couldn't believe how the other girls didn't notice that, they were so blindly in love with oikawa to the point that they completely forgot about Iwaizumi's existence. and they're the main reason why sometimes his insecurity gets the best of him.
iwaizumi slowly looked down to see the female, her face was flushed as she kept gazing at him with pure admiration. blinking twice, he leaned closer to her face and poked her forehead lightly.
"earth to l/n."
she flinched and bowed her head multiple times before locking the door and walking ahead of him. confused, iwaizumi shrugged his shoulders and followed after her as they both made their way towards aoba johsai.
iwaizumi noticed how nervous and anxious y/n was feeling, her lips were pressed together and she kept playing with the strings of her jacket; iwaizumi knows for sure that whenever she swirls the strings of that jacket of hers, it means that she's either nervous or embarrassed. in order to calm her nerves, he carefully put his hand on her head and rubbed it gently. the action made her look up at him with a small smile.
"don't be scared, i swear if th-"
"no thank you, iwaizumi-san, i have to stand up for myself."
y/n took a deep breath and stuffed her hands inside of her jacket's pockets. a proud smile curled up on iwaizumi's face once those words left her lips, he slowly pulled his hand back and leaned closer to her ear.
