I am so so so sorry this took almost a month to get out. My computer broke, then I had to take a bit of a road trip, it's a whole thing. But anyway, it won't take so long ever again (I hope).

Brrring brrring

The phone rang, echoing loudly through the empty house. Calypso stared at it, silently praying her husband would pick up. He'd been gone for four days, and she missed him. At first, she relished in having the house to herself, but she became lonely quickly. Sure, it was only four days, but she was reminded of the feeling she got whenever someone would leave her on Ogygia. She knew this was different, that she was off that wretched island and Leo was coming back, but she just couldn't shake that feeling.

On the last ring, Leo answered.

"Hey sunshine, what's up?"

Calypso smiled involuntarily. It felt so good to hear his voice, even if it was calling her annoying nicknames.

"Hey babe. What time are you getting home?"

"Around four I think." He answered. "Why, do you miss me?" Calypso could practically hear him wiggling his eyebrows.

"No," she said indignantly, "I'm just sick of doing all the chores around here."

"Yeah right." Leo's voice said through the phone. "You miss me."

"I do not."

"You do."

"Do not."

"Do."

"Not."

"Do."

"Not."

Leo chuckled. "You might as well just admit it, I could do this all day."

Calypso rolled her eyes. "Whatever."

"But seriously, I'll hopefully be home soon, at least, no later than seven."

"Seven?!" Calypso exclaimed.

"I know." Leo said, sighing. "I'll be back as soon as I can. I miss you too." Calypso heard voices in the background, she couldn't tell who's. Leo answered them, something about picking someone up. "I gotta go, but I'll see you later. I love you."

"Love you-" Calypso started to say before Leo hung up suddenly.

"Too." Calypso finished miserably.

––

Calypso tapped her foot anxiously on the floor, having just taken a break from pacing around the house worryingly to standing still worryingly.

Leo had told her he'd be back at seven at the latest, but it was coming up on eight pm and there was still no sign of him.

Suddenly, Calypso heard the click of the door handle turning. She spun around, nearly toppling over in her rush. Leo walked through the door, hair a mess and clothes slightly singed, but she didn't care about that, she just cared that he was home. The two stared into each others eyes. Leo started toward Calypso, a soft smile on his lips. He didn't get far, however, before Calypso flung herself into his outstretched arms, a single tear spilling down her cheek in relief and happiness. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders, burying her face in his neck. She inhaled. Oh how she'd missed his scent. She didn't know how to describe it. It just smelled like Leo.

Looking back, it might have been over-dramatic, but at the time she didn't care. She was just glad her love was home.

After some minutes, Calypso pulled back from the hug, not removing her hands from around Leo. He smiled at her. Not a smirk, or a mischievous grin, just a genuinely happy smile.
