Jennifer Miles

"You were amazing Jennifer", Ethan praised me and I smiled back at his words. We finally ended a two hours meeting and we are on our ways back to the office.

"Thanks, Ethan. It would have never been possible without you....", I smiled back at him.

"So, what's the next move now?", he asked me back.

"That move gonna be theirs. We just have to wait now.....", I smirked back.

"But you clearly disregarded their facts. How are we gonna move ahead? Why would they approach you now when you were so hard to agree on any terms? Like how?", he asked me getting impatient.

I smiled at him knowing whatever he is thinking was absolutely correct but I have certain things on my mind, "Ethan, they would surely try some other ways..... let's wait and watch and just play along. It's our time now", I assured him.

After reaching our office, we went back to our cabins but not before Ethan asked me for lunch which I agreed. We had our lunch together with some little chit chat. And now, I'm finally sitting in my cabin.

How are you supposed to defend your sins like that, Mr. Nick Dylan? There are many more to come in your way. How are you gonna cover that?

It was just seconds when I looked into your eyes today and noticed the familiarity again. I could feel that air around you was suffocating to me but I relaxed my mind. I calmed myself.

This is not the time I'm losing to you. Not at any cost..... More than Ethan, I'm waiting for your next move.

After working for some more hours, I went back to my apartment as I was no longer left with any energy to work further. After reaching home, I took a shower and quickly changed into a t-shirt and shorts.
I blow dried my hair and did a messy bun and cooked myself a light dinner. Not having too much appetite, I finally laid down my back on the bed and didn't realise when the slumber took me over.

"Dad, why are we going to the beaches again? I don't want to go", I complained as I heard my Mom chuckled from the front passenger seat while my Dad was driving the car.

"Because sweetheart, your Mom and I met at the beach for the first time. We used to go a lot there in our college days", Dad replied.

"This is one thousand forty seventh time you are giving the same reason", I ranted.

So, it's my Mom and Dad's Anniversary and let me clear it to you that it's not their marriage anniversary, it's them celebrating the day they met first with each other. My parents are madly in love and the best thing I witness everyday is their unbreakable bond. I admire them with all my heart.

"Oh, I feel the same vibes of love from you both...", I rolled back my eyes in annoyance.

"Is that so?"

My Mom chirped her lips into a beautiful smile,"Of course, you both understand each other so well", she replied back.

"So, what? What really matters is does he loves me or not?", I stated.

I watched them smiling at each other when my Mom replied, "Nothing can be more evident than his love for you. And you know that too. He is the one for you. You both light up each other's world with your existence."

"And I know that he is the right choice for my daughter", my Dad said firmly.

"So, you love him right?"
