A Twilight 🌆

Sitting on the porch steps,
Unobserved, unbothered,
I looked, saw, felt and smelt,
The charm, odour of the onset Twilight.

The backdrop of towering teaks,
Gulmohar in high flames,
Thus beheld,
The wisdom of yore.

The woods behind with their own way,
Alluring in faint dampness,
Shining in vigour,
Whispering through Twilight breeze.

Witness of all ancient trusts,
Of all old spun romances,
All the promises made,
Cherished dreams, broken hearts,
The Twilight still supreme reigns.

Speckled with clouds, at times none,
Shades of sunset hues,
Shooting through the unknown realm,
The Twilight engulfed me in all its beauty,
Took me to lands, enchanted with charm,
Woven with the beauty of poesy.
