"OK, SO YOU WEREN'T gonna say yes? so i was stressed for nothing?" chris asked, running a hand through his hair, a look of bewilderment painted across his face.

"i mean, i was... you just got ahead of yourself." dalia replied, shrugging.

"so, i worried... for good reason?"

"i guess? i dunno, you just overthink too much." dalia sighed before standing and walking to the fridge. she opened the door and pulled out two pepsi cans before sitting in front of chris at the table.

once she placed the cans on the table, he reached out and grabbed one, "thanks." he muttered before popping the tab and taking a long sip.

"well, you didnt overthink then, i see." dalia snorted, "what if i wanted to drink both?"

"well that would be unhealthy." chris informed as dalia took a sip of her own can.

"you would know."

chris flipped her off and dripped the last bit of soda into his mouth before crushing the can in his hands, tossing it onto the table.

dalia grimaced at his uncleanliness and pointed to the kitchen, "clean yourself up, you drink like a fucking camel."

chris laughed and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, "at least im hydrated."

"that is not the sam- you know what, nevermind. can we get back on task?"

"wait, we arent done yet?" chris frowned, "i thought we settled it?"

"have you never solved any problem in your life before?" dalia snorted

"i mean, yeah. i just smile and hug it out or whatever." chris shrugged as he picked at the sleeve of his shirt.

"how do matt and nick put up with this. i would probably kill myself."

"i dunno bro," chris smirked, "triplet telepathy HAHA."

dalia stared at the man and frowned.

was he always this unfunny and now shes no longer desensitized because she hasnt seen him in a while?

dalia shook her head, attempting to clear out her thoughts before speaking, "anyways, we came to talk about this proposal that you made. so we are going to talk about this."

chris stared at her as she continued, "i've been thinking about like.. a trial period. maybe. i dunno."

chris genuinely looked like he was looking into the dark abyss of thoughts. if there was one quote to describe him in this moment, it would be "not a thought behind those eyes."

after a full 2 seconds of silence, chris spoke, "like a hulu trial.."

dalia paused and nodded slowly, "kind of?"

"is this prostitution?"

"bro?" dalia stared at chris and frowned. she actually forgot how stupid he was, holy shit.

"no, isn't this literally prostitution?"

"no chris, it's not."

"oh."

dalia laid her head on the table as chris continued to speak, "anyways, a trial period sounds interesting. WAIT! do you remember that one time nick and i took my dad's card to sign up for that spotify premium free trial? holy shit that was awesome. i swear i saw smoke coming out of his ears when it charged. how much is it now? $12 a month? why is everything so expensive nowad-"
