OC's POV:
---
"B-but... It's for the good of humanity."
Koenji had just roasted Two-faced-chan and she's now desperately trying to come up with arguments.
---
'This is sad to watch.'
---
Before things escalated...
"Apologies madam, please, by all means, take mine..." I stood up and answered swiftly.
"Hmp." Koenji with his forever confident smirk had his legs crossed and arms folded. He briefly eyed me up and down before shutting his white marbles.
For some reason, I felt affected by his gesture.
---
'Even cartoons can make you feel intense I suppose. Maybe it's the knowing that another form of consciousness disapproves of your actions that generates this emotion, and it's not directly tied to how realistic they are to your 5 senses.'
---
"Thank you very much!" Kushida bowed rapidly.
"It's fine. From where I come from, I usually stand on the bus." I smiled and approach the female duo.
---
'From the country I came from in my original reality, it was practically common knowledge to give up your seat to the mothers, women, girls, children and old people. Men and boys whom are tall enough (11 to 16 years) usually stood at the doorway of the bus if there weren't enough seats. I mean, we are at the peak of our bodies, so the culture saw it as a normal thing to do. No one bothered to even address it.'
---
Upon inspecting the others with brief glances, I couldn't blame them for not standing.
---
'After all, they grew up in a culture that usually kept to themselves and valued autonomy. Therefore, standing would imply they are lesser or subservient to the others who apparently defended their honor by staying on their seats. No one directly says this, but you can almost sense it in the aura of the atmosphere when around other people.'
'Plus, I think they are just a bit socially anxious to do the right thing since no one else did it first. I used to be the same. It's a crowd mentality thing.'
'Lucky me for increasing my psychological tolerance, though. I get to do bold moves like this that others shy away from, even if I'm in a different culture or reality!'
---
A slight smug began forming on my face.
"Right this way ma'm. Sorry for not noticing you sooner. I was busy thinking about my new school that I spaced out." My normal voice was pretty loud in the bus, so everyone probably heard me.
I offered my 3D cartoonic hand to her.
