"You just had to bruise yourself, didn't you?" Melissa shook her head as she patched him up with bandages. "Here, let me..."

"Jay had it coming this time. I promise you he did." Bryan grit his teeth. "He has that aura rope power, right? How did it manage to slap you across the face?"

"It caught me off guard." Bryan looked at her. "You have the same power too. Except, you have vines."

"Yeah, I hate copied powers." Melissa took a deep breath and exhaled. "They're terrible. Like, be original!"

"I understand that feeling. When I discovered that I had Ice powers, I wanted myself to be known for it." Bryan turned to her. "You mentioned that part too."

"Jay sometimes uses that rope on himself to boost his strength points." He added on. "Rip it off and he's nothing but human."

"That reminds me, can you tell me what happened in your eighth grade year now? You said you'd tell me what events led up to now." Melissa opened her arms. "And I can see that we have a LOT of free time."

Bryan furrowed his eyebrows.

There I was, walking to the concert. I was late and I knew it too. Not to the concert, it started two hours later. No, I was late to meet my girlfriend at the time.

She wasn't too thrilled to see me arrive so late. I was dragged to the back of the school where no one could see and was suddenly slapped when I turned to her.

"You never listen, do you?" I heard her say. Her pink eyes looked so evil in the moment that I forgot how they looked when they were beautiful.

She pulled her arm back as I stared into her terrifying eyes and was punched in the arm as I lifted it to defend myself. She took notice of this and slapped my arm out of the way.

Damn, she hit hard too.

Very soon did the scares stop. I slowly stood back up even as bruised as I was. I saw a shard of glass on the ground and picked it up.

She tried to punch me in the face this time but I moved out of the way. I raised the shard over my head and she dodged only to see it being stabbed across my arm.

It now became bloody and left a line of stretched, ripped flesh.

I remember as I yelled at her. "You wanna see me suffer so bad, don't you?!"

I threw the shard to her feet and some of the blood on it splattered the front of her shoes.

There he was, the version of me that had been forced into existence. The old, shy and weak me that everyone knew then was now gone.

My feet took me back to the band room. I bumped her shoulder with my own and made my way back.

The switch I had in my brain could not be turned off anymore.

That's so sad to hear too because the next person to encounter me was none other than...

[3RD PERSON POV]

"...Jay?"

He looked at his best friend who was holding a folded paper with the words 'To Scarlett.' on it.

Bryan stared at those words until Jay hid it away in his sleeve and awkwardly scratched his neck. "I- was told to gather everyone. Head to the band room. Was Scarlett with you?"

"No." He glared at Jay. As Bryan stomped past him, he took a peek back to see Jay staring towards the back of the school.

Bryan opened the door and before it closed, he heard as Jay whispered. "Here I go then..."

That note he hid away has a heart on it. Bryan knew what it meant.

He looked at the ground, tears trying to form. But he fought them.

He shut his eyes and thought about what Melissa would think about this. Then, his mind lingered towards Laura who hated thinking about Scarlett.

Bryan opened his eyes slowly to continue watching the ground.

He didn't notice at first but his eyes widened as he now possessed a different body. He rushed into the boys bathroom to see that his body, it turned into Laura's.

He shut his eyes and thought about himself, opening his eyes to see his normal body again.

Smirking, he took on the form of Laura once again while walking out.

The door opened, letting him access the courtyard again. He headed to the back of the school at a rapid pace.

Putting a stop to this is all that mattered. It was time to put an end to the trio.

He noticed two figures standing there where he had fought against Scarlett using his words.

Jay held out his note and watched as Scarlett slowly took it and opened it up.

She was surprised to read what it was about and looked at Jay with an uncomfortable expression.

Bryan balled his hand into a fist and boosted himself into the fight, dawning Laura's appearance for the fight.

Scarlett noticed a fist connecting to the ground between her and Jay. A shockwave sent them both backwards.

When it was revealed to be Laura, Scarlett gasped. "You came here to make sure Bryan doesn't forgive me."

"He should have left a long time ago when I warned him to." Laura said with a look of disgust. 'I really should have left. I'm glad I listened.'

Jay grabbed Laura with his rope and pummeled her into the ground. "Who sent you?"

"Your maker." Laura pulled the rope and kicked Jay as if he were a pogo stick. "You both hurt him."

"A trio that everyone knew was a trio." Laura grabbed the shard from earlier and stabbed it into Jay's leg. "A couple and the boyfriend's bestfriend."

"It never would have worked out." Laura giggled to herself. "Never."

Scarlett looked at Jay. "Are you badly hurt...?"

"No... I can still feel my leg."

"Can you now?!" Laura ripped his leg off with a force so unrecognizable that it didn't even hurt.

Jay screamed from the horror of it.
