With a gasp, Mahi reached out to steady herself, But before she could hit the ground, a strong arm wrapped around her waist, pulling her back.

Mahi blinked in surprise as she found herself caught in the embrace of a stranger, his firm grip keeping her away  from falling.

Mahi: Ah, thank you! The stranger smiled warmly, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he steadied her on her feet.

Stranger: No problem at all. Are you alright? Mahi nodded, a grateful smile spreading across her face.

Just then, Varun came from the restroom, his brow furrowed in concern as he hurried over to Mahi's side.

Varun: Didi, what happened?  Are you okay?

Mahi nodded, her eyes sparkling with relief as she gestured towards their saviour.

Mahi: I slipped, but this gentleman here caught me just in time.

Varun offered the stranger a grateful nod, his expression filled with genuine thanks for her sister.

Varun: Thank you so much. We're really grateful for your help.

Stranger: It was my pleasure. Take care now. With a final nod, the stranger disappeared into the bustling crowd, and mahi varun leave to their home.

As they walked, Mahi couldn't shake the feeling of familiarity that lingered in the air, a sense that they were being watched by unseen eyes.

She glanced over her shoulder, scanning the crowd for any sign but she saw no one.

Varun noticed her unease and placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder, his eyes filled with concern.

Varun: Hey Didi, are you alright?  Mahi forced a smile, shaking off her head as she turned to face her brother.

Mahi: I'm fine, Varun. Let's go before it gets quiet late.

Next Day

The morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow over the modest room.

Mahi stretched, her muscles protesting the early hour as she rose from her bed and set about her daily routine. Mahi tidied up the room.

Once the chores were done, Mahi set to work in the tiny kitchen, the clatter of pots and pans echoing off the walls as she prepared a simple yet hearty breakfast for herself and Varun.

Meanwhile, Varun emerged from his room, his expression determined as he prepared for another day of college. With book in hand and a bag on his back , he bid Mahi bye before heading out the door.

As the morning wore on, Mahi set about her own work, her thoughts consumed by the day's agenda. With a careful eye and a keen sense of opportunity, she ventured out into the bustling streets, her senses alerted as she searched for potential targets.

By Evening, Mahi returned home. With a sigh, she sank into a chair at the small table, her brow furrowed in frustration.

Mahi: (muttering) Today's income is so low, it's barely enough to cover house and varun education expenses.

Mahi: But don't worry, tomorrow will be better day.

After few days,

As Mahi navigated through the crowded streets, a glimmer of hope flickered within her.

Between all the of faces, one figure stood out from the rest – a young man, his confident attitude and expensive attire marking him as someone of means.

A spark of mischief ignited within Mahi as she observed him, her mind racing with the possibility of relieving him of his burdensome wealth.

Mahi: (to herself) Why not him? He looks like he has plenty to spare.

she moved in near him  for the purpose of stealing, her eyes trained like hawk on her target as she prepared to make her move.

But before she could entact her plan, a sudden push from the crowd sent her off balance, her body leaned forward towards the very same man she had intended to rob.

But before she fell down at the very same moment that man turned his back and caught mahi in his arms.
