Betrayal's Embrace

Part 3

Startled, Mahi looked up to meet the gaze of the stranger, her breath catching in her throat as she recognized him from their previous encounter.

Mahi: (flustered) I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to...

The stranger's warm smile eased her nerves as he chuckled softly, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

Stranger: No harm done. Looks like fate has a funny way of bringing us together, doesn't it?

Mahi's cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

Mahi: Uh...yeah I think so.. With this he  made her stand on her feet.

Vishal: Vishal.

Mahi : Huh ?

Vishal: My name.. Vishal. What's Your ?

Mahi: um.. my name is Mahi.

Vishal: Your name really suits you. Mahi just smiled lightly.

Mahi: Ah, Thank you! Now I should be going.

As Mahi attempted to make a swift escape from the awkward encounter, Vishal's voice called out to her from behind, stopping her in her tracks.

Vishal: Mahi, wait!Reluctantly, Mahi turned to face him, her heart pounding in her chest as she braced herself for the inevitable questions.

Mahi: Um, Yes ?

 Vishal: I couldn't help but notice... What are you doing here? Are you exploring the city too? 

Vishal saw her with a curious expression, his eyes searching her for answers.

Mahi hesitated, unsure of how much she should reveal to this stranger she had only just met.

Mahi: Oh, um, nothing really. Just... taking a walk.

Vishal raised an eyebrow, his eyes skrewed as he studied her carefully.

Vishal: Really? Because it looked like you were up to something back there.

Mahi's heart sank as she struggled to come up with a possible excuse.

 Before she could respond, Vishal's expression softened, a hint of mischief dancing in his eyes.

Vishal: Well leave it ,I want to say Since we're both here, why don't you give me a tour of the city? Cause I'm new here, can you help me as a tour guide ?

Mahi's initial instinct was to refuse, but something in Vishal's earnest expression gave her pause.

 Perhaps this was her chance to make amends for her earlier intentions. She thought by this she can show him that she is innocent girl. 

Mahi: (hesitant) I don't know, Vishal. I'm not really a tour guide...

Vishal: Please, Mahi? I have a feeling you know all the best spots. It'll be an adventure. I don't Know anything about this place and even top of that I don't know anyone here beside you. 

Finally, with a resigned sigh, she agreed.

Mahi: Alright, then. I'll give you a tour, but not today. It's getting quite late, and I have also some other things to take care of. 

Vishal nodded understandingly, a warm smile gracing his features.

Vishal: No problem at all, Mahi. I completely understand. How about we meet at the same place at 10 am tomorrow morning?

Mahi's lips curved into a smile at Vishal's suggestion and she nodded her head and waved bye to him.

Mahi and Vishal parted their ways, only to come together again for their beautiful and blissful journey.

Next Day ,

The morning sun cast a golden glow over the city as Vishal stood at their agreed meeting spot, his anticipation growing with each passing moment. 

He paced back and forth, his eyes scanning the crowd for any sign of Mahi's arrival. Despite his efforts to remain patient, a sense of restlessness grow in him as the minutes ticked by and unsure about, mahi will come or not.

Just as Vishal began to worry that Mahi might not show up, a figure caught his eye, and his heart skipped a beat.

There she was, approaching him with a smile that lit up her face, her presence like a ray of sunshine amidst the urban landscape.

Mahi's attire was simple yet beautiful, a reflection of her understated beauty. 

She wore a flower printed white dress that fluttered gracefully in the breeze, her hair flowed in loose waves down her shoulders, while a delicate necklace adorned her neckline, catching the sunlight with a subtle sparkle.

As Vishal watched her approach, he couldn't help but be mesmerized by her ethereal beauty.
