Its been two weeks since I've made a stupid decision that I will probably regret for the rest of my life.
To be clearer, two weeks ago, I made a deal with a notorious gang leader that I still don't the name of.
Which is stupid really, making a deal with a stranger is dangerous enough, but making a deal with a stranger you know owns some sorta gang is just plain dumb. Like how stupider can you get?
I spent the first couple of days hunched over my phone hiding out in my room anxiously waiting for a text from sasha. When none came, I became even more anxious and started obsessing over every tiny thing which triggered another panic attack.
After a while I forgot about it, or more so, I ignored the huge 1 billion tonne problem hanging over my head in the same way I ignored every other problem in my life.
Recap to kidnapping day:
There's a silence in the room long after Sasha finished laughing at my suggestion. My knees bounce up and down and I can't seem to make them stop as I stare reluctantly at boss dude.
My unbound hands wringe themselves in my lap, and my body can't seem to stop shaking. And yeah, my anxiety is radiating out of my entire body, but I still hold my chin high and feign nonchalance.
When I look back up at boss dude I find him staring at me so hard I'm surprised that there aren't twin holes in my face. His eyes are laughing at me.
I honestly didn't know that you could smile without even moving a single muscle in your face. But it seems that I've got a great demonstration of that right in front of me. I want to bash his face in, but that would probably end up in Danny being tortured to death— and I can't risk that, not today.
Boss dude must have put something together and gathered that he has enough leverage that he will always have the upper-hand in this 'deal' that I suggested.
"Alright Catalina, I agree to this idea of yours" his rich drawl has a hint of laughter in it as he leans back in his seat.
Yessssssss
WINNNN
I pull my fist down triumphantly—
"but"
I clench my teeth, "but?"
ohmifuckinggod he couldn't just give me the time of day did he. Like its SO hard goddamn. He just had to shoot fish in the barrel. Wow, very professional.
"But, instead of you answering all my questions on any day, You will report to me whenever I want it. Sasha will call or text you and you must show up, otherwise your friend over here" He makes a choking sound while drawing a line across his neck, "So, basically, you'll be my personal servant for...... a year"
He stretches his arms behind him as I glare at him.
"deal?", he actually smirks this time.
What.
The.
Fuck.
I swallow down the scream stuck inside of me.
Danny fucking owes me 3 million dollars.
I am actually becoming a slave to some gang leader for a year. I feel like I've made a deal with the devil. Theres no other way out of this.
