Jack Spencer continued to look at Lily Johnson with an expression devoid of any guilt.

Now calm, his face no longer flushed with emotion, he looked clean and handsome. The slap mark on his face did nothing to obscure his refined features.

Lily gazed at the face that had once made her heart flutter, feeling the pain in her body and heart intensify, leaving her barely able to stand.

He remained silent, his gaze growing colder, filled with restrained impatience and annoyance, as if she were an unwelcome fly hovering over a fine meal.

His cold stare made her tremble, and she glanced at the disheveled bed. "Jack, when you lay here for two years, I took care of you. What did you say to me then?!"

"You said you'd treat me well for the rest of your life. And now, just after your recovery, you're with this slut?! On our wedding bed?!"

"How can you do this to me? I graduated from a prestigious university, gave up my career, and took care of you like a servant every day. I gave you everything, and this is how you repay me?!"

Silence.

The room was eerily silent, as if Lily were talking to the air.

She glanced at the woman in Jack's arms, who was smiling with blatant mockery in her eyes.

Fury ignited within Lily again, and she pointed at the woman, yelling at Jack, "Make her leave right now! If she doesn't go, we'll get a divorce!"

"Fine." Jack finally spoke, his voice unusually straightforward.

Lily trembled, shocked at his response.

As if fearing she might misunderstand, Jack added calmly, "Then let's get a divorce. I'll call a lawyer right away."

Lily stared at Jack, as if she couldn't comprehend his words.

The woman in his arms spoke up, "Sis, you wanted a divorce, and Jack's agreeing to it!"

"Yes," Jack said, looking at Lily. "Think about what conditions you want. When the lawyer arrives, we can discuss them properly."

Lily's chest heaved with anger and pain, her body shaking uncontrollably. "What did you say? You want a divorce?!"

"Didn't you just suggest it?" Jack replied, his demeanor almost gentlemanly despite his nakedness. "It's clear we have no feelings left for each other. It wouldn't be fair to keep you tied down. I'll give you compensation for the care you provided over these two years..."

The woman in his arms giggled and continued, "Sis, look at you. You look just like a nanny. Your hair's a mess, and your clothes have no shape. No one would doubt you're Jack's hired help. A nanny in the market costs about $4,000 a month..."
