NOTES
In case some people don't understand, the word 'Shirushi' means 'Sign' in Japanese. Enjoy.

― SHE SKIDDED TO A HALT by the cliff's edge, trying to squint past the glare of the golden sunrise. Across the large span of open grass, she saw a broken figure falling to pieces and burning, with another crouched behind it. It took her a moment to decipher the situation, but it soon hit her like a brick.
"Tanjiro!" she exclaimed frantically, not thinking twice before leaping off the cliff. Her cape billowed behind her as she fell, and she clung onto the rim of her hat after a split second of realization. She had thrown herself into danger― completely abandoning her sharp instincts for...
a human.
Hikari had no time to comprehend what had come over her― her fingertips were beginning to burn away in the sunlight, and the ground was rapidly approaching. From the corner of her eye, she saw another burn― of another demon.
Of Nezuko Kamado.
Her thoughts clouded by panic and what felt like real fear, she stumbled onto the grass and sprinted to the burning creature― disregarding the searing pain of her own flesh flaking away into the sunrise. She bolted as quickly as she could, desperately pawing at the air; however, when she reached them both, upon looking at her own hand― it was pale-grey, rather than her disguise's tan. And the pale-grey was slowly disintegrating.
Rapidly looking from her palm to the two children in front of her, her eyes widened massively― she could practically feel her markings being etched back onto her eyeballs. There was no time to explain herself to Tanjiro, no matter how horrified his bloodied expression was. In the distance behind the boy, she saw Hantengu clumsily running towards three frantic swordsmiths, the body of Urami headless yet looming.
In a split second of blind desperation, she leapt past Tanjiro and Nezuko and practically flew towards Urami. Unlike the swordsmiths, who couldn't believe that a headless demon was chasing them― she knew where Hantengu was hiding; Urami's heart of resentment.
Having already abandoned her facade and disguise― it was all but burned away now― she brandished her clawed hand and dug into Urami's back, ripping the shrunken Hantengu from its heart. Glaring murderously down at the demon, now frozen in horror, she screamed out wordlessly before, without any thought, biting down on the tiny demon's neck and tearing his head from his body. The harsh flesh slid down her throat, and she tossed the lifeless body aside as she watched Urami finally fall dead and disintegrate.
Amidst all this, she was still burning― the sunlight was only getting stronger with time, and she had to get away. She only just managed to teleport herself into the Infinity Castle before her limbs disappeared completely; she collapsed on the floor of a platform and writhed and wailed in agony.
