For years he was like a comet, orbiting her atmosphere.

Never drawing too close, never going too far. They shared the same solar system and observed each other fleetingly from afar, but had no reason to speak to the other.

He was a legend, a force that drew spectators far and wide, awe-struck at his being. She felt like dust carried on the wind, trying and trying to pull herself together into something strong and wonderful, something others could look upon in that same breathless wonder. Yet no matter how hard she tried, she found herself blown away, strewn across the darkness of space.

Osha thought it would always be like this.

Had no reason to think otherwise.

But where Osha saw space dust, Qimir saw the forming of a star.

Everyone knows of him, Master Qimir, a Jedi legend. He is renowned for his mastery of The Force, his prowess in battle, his witty yet borderline inappropriate remarks, and of course - though not many in The Order will admit it aloud - the handsomeness of his face.

Osha has only ever seen him from a distance, but she had certainly heard of him and his heroic feats.

The first time she sees him closely is as a Padawan. She stumbles upon him while looking for Yord. There was a crowd on the observation deck, overlooking the training grounds. Curious at the quiet excitement rippling through the gathered Jedi, Osha squeezes her way to the front, stunned to find the renowned Master Qimir and several other Jedi Masters practicing with training sabers.

It is a sight she will not quickly forget.

His movements are swift and powerful, the sleeveless tunic he wears showing off hard-earned muscles sleeked with the sheen of sweat. It's inappropriate, unseemly almost, how her stomach twists at the sight of Qimir's shirt rucking up, revealing smooth, shiny skin, curves of more muscles, and snippets of scars from battles long fought.

Osha looks away, her ears burning.

It is the gasps from the surrounding crowd, the compliments of his lightsaber form and battle shrewdness, that make her look back down.

The praise others give him is well-deserved. He is skilled a fighter as they say. A marvel to observe. There is something mesmerizing in the fluid way he moves, and yet... something unnerving too, something unpredictable, ferocious and foreign to the Jedi way. It was done so sparsely, so quickly it almost wasn't noticeable, like a momentary lapse of a loth-wolf forgetting to hide its fangs.

Master Qimir easily disarms his fellow Jedi Masters, leaving the three of them sprawled across the floor. The crowd applauds politely, the battle well fought, even if he had made his opponent look no better than green behind the ears Padawans. It seems even Masters can still have a trick or two to learn.

She would love to see him spar with Master Sol. No matter how brilliant Qimir is, Sol could no doubt teach him a thing or two.

Qimir's gaze trails towards the observation deck.
