"Do you think I look fine in this dress? Maybe I shouldn't go. I can just say that I am sick or whatever," I said after looking at myself in the mirror. I am not confident enough to go there alone and wear such an expensive dress like this.

"Louisa May! Stop thinking you're not pretty. You are insanely gorgous, and I bet tonight, not only new potential buyers but who knows, you can get someone special too," she said, wiggling her eyebrows.

"Stop messing around. I am in a serious mood now, Myla," I said.

"You are not fun. Loosen up a bit and have fun. She's the prettiest woman, right, Lily?" I look at Lily. She couldn't stop smiling while looking at me.

"Yes, she's the prettiest in the whole world," she said.

"See! Even Lily said so. By the way, I have to go now or else I'll miss my flight," Myla said, giving me her last hug and motivation before leaving the house.

I look in the mirror, and I look different. The dress is so stunning; it is a form-fitting pale yellow gown that hugged my body perfectly. The delicate draping over the bodice, accentuating my figure while maintaining a soft, elegant look. The thin shoulder straps and also subtle side bows were added. This dress is just stunning. I can't believe I am the one wearing it today.

I took a deep breath, trying to calm the nerves that were bubbling up inside me. Myla's words echoed in my head, and I couldn't help but smile at the memory of her encouragement. With one last glance in the mirror, I squared my shoulders and decided that I could do this. I deserved to be there just as much as anyone else.

As I walked out of the room, Lily ran up to me, her face beaming with excitement. "You look really pretty, Louisa. Everyone will love you."

"Thank you, Lily," I said, give her a quick hug. Her innocent confidence in me was heartwarming, and I felt a surge of determination.

The car Myla had arranged was waiting outside. The driver opened the door for me, and I slipped inside, feeling the soft leather seats against my dress. The ride to the gala felt like a blur, my mind racing with thoughts of the evening ahead.

When we arrived, I stepped out onto the red carpet, immediately met by the flashing lights of cameras and the murmur of the crowd. I took a deep breath and started walking, trying to exude the confidence Myla believed I had. I feel really out place right when looking at everyone. Their dresses and everything screams money.

Inside the venue, the atmosphere was buzzing with conversation and laughter. I couldn't help but amaze by the decoration of this place. It is such a luxurious hall. As I stepped further into the venue, I felt a wave of uncertainty wash over me. Despite Myla and Lily's encouraging words, I still felt like a fish out of water amidst the opulence and sophistication surrounding me. The chandeliers sparkled overhead, casting a warm glow over the elegantly dressed attendees who mingled and chatted effortlessly.

Taking another deep breath, I reminded myself that I was here for a good cause, and I had every right to be present. Myla's voice echoed in my mind once more, urging me to enjoy the evening and make the most of the opportunity. Determined to push through my nerves, I made my way to the reception area to check in.
