Risa’s POV

As I was sitting in my swivel chair, the door of my office flew open revealing my secretary with new set of brown folders and envelopes in her arms.

Tangina, ano na naman 'to?

I just watched her awkwardly put another bunch of papers on top of my desk and left silently.

Maybe due to my badass bitch face I made her feel uneasy? I don't care already.

I already felt irritated early in the morning before Mayor Alice Guo came. I had left a lot of paperworks and documents undone. While going through something, someone knocked on my door.

"Come in." I enunciated, not acknowledging the person who came in.

"Hi, Tita Mamita!" A familiar voice greeted me, I put down the papers I was reading and took off my glasses and placed them on my desk.

I saw the daughter of my closest friend, Donya.

"Hija, what are you doing here?" I asked with my brows furrowed. "Take a seat." I added and gestured her to sit at the mini sofa.

"My bridal shower would take place in Boracay, Tita Mamita. Would you like to join us?" She proposed.

Ikakasal na siya? Pambihira! Naunahan pa ako ng batang ito.

"Ikakasal ka na, Don?" I asked.

"Opo." She answered politely.

"I'll just check my sched and send you emails if I can." I said.

"Please, Tita? Just for now po para na rin mabawasan ang stress mo." Pangungulit pa nito.

Malakas talaga itong si Donya sa'kin eh.

"Fine!" Pagpayag ko rito. I saw how her face lit up with enthusiasm and I just shrugged in response.

"Yipee!" She chirped. "By the way, this afternoon po yung flight natin." She cheerfully added.

"What?! I thought tomorrow afternoon is your bridal shower?" Hindi makapaniwalang bulalas ko.

"Hapon po yung bridal shower ta's bonding naman sa umaga." She explained. "Pumayag ka na Tita, please?"

"Fine." I replied, nonchalantly.

"Thank you, Tita Mamita! See you later po!" Sabi niya at bumeso ulit sa'kin.

Silence enveloped my office when Donya left.

I dialed my secretary to cancel all of my meetings and hearings for the next following days of my absence.

Inayos ko ang mga gamit ko at kinuha ang car keys sa drawer. I then bid goodbye to my employees and went home to organize my things for my trip to Boracay.

On the other side, Alice is sitting in the balcony reviewing some papers that will be presented for the second hearing. While skimming through the papers, her phone suddenly rang.

It was Donya so she answered it.

"Ali, pack your things na, ah? Ngayong hapon na yung flight natin papuntang Boracay." The latter from the other side reminded her.

"Boracay?! No way!" I gasped in shock.

"Yes way! No buts, Alicia. It's just three freaking days, you'll be fine." Don kept on blabbering.

"Argh, fine!"

"Thank you, Ali! I'll fetch you later so you better pack your things na. Love you!"

"Yeah, whatever!" I said and angrily pressed the red button.
