"Hello" No one responded
"Hello who's this?" Still,
"If this is a prank call, I'm sorry I'm too busy to accommodate such things" I'm about to end the call when I heard her laugh
"You're too serious today, Risa"
"Oh please, Loren. I don't have time with your stupid jokes, I have a lot of paperworks to do." saad ko
"I'm sorry. May isang kaso nanaman, and it's about that POGO in Bamban. Mamaya yung hearing 10am" Loren stated
"Last year pa 'yang POGO na 'yan, 'di pa matapos tapos."
"I'm sure, the one who's managing that POGO is a very big business man." I added, I heard Loren chuckled
"She's not a business man, she's a mayor. Mayor of Bamban" My eyes widened in shocked because of what I heard from Loren
"What's her name?" I asked
"Ali-" Loren didn't finished her word when my phone died.
"Fudge! Lowbat!" I cursed and immediately find my charger.
I looked at the clock and it's already 9AM, I didn't call Loren back, kase baka ma late ako.
Minutes had passed, and I'm here at the Senate building, waiting na magbukas yung elevator.
The elevator suddenly opened, kaya dali-dali akong pumasok, I pressed the button to close it, but suddenly a woman appeared and entered the elevator.
She's cute, wearing her glasses, tall woman, and a chinita.
Simple but Elegant
That's how I described her right now.
I saw her looking at me, I returned her gaze.
"Sa Hearing ka rin pupunta?" I asked
"Yes po, ma'am" she answered, smiling
She's familiar, she's really familiar to me. I think I met her before.
"Manunuod ka?" I asked again.
"Ah, hin-" she didn't finished her words, when the elevator suddenly opened.
"We're here na po pala po, I'll go ahead. Nice meeting you po" the cute chinita stated, offering her hands to me; we shook hands.
"Nice meeting you din." I said, smiling
As I entered the room, I saw Loren waiting for me.
"Sasa, why are you late?" Tanong sa'kin ni Loren
"Mabagal kase yung elevator, what time is it?" I asked
"10:05" Loren answered
"I'm just 5 minutes late. Nasaan na 'yung Mayor?" Tanong ko ulit
"Nag CR lang saglit"
"May gigisahin ka nanaman ah" biro ko
"Sino ba sating dalawa ang nang-gigisa?" Tanong pabalik sa'kin ni Loren, umiling nalang ako
Napatigil naman kami ni Loren sa pag-uusap ng biglang nagsalita ang Speaker.
