She was relaxing in her bedroom after getting herself acquainted with where all her stuff was and discovering the absolutely god sent bathroom with the beautiful tub. She had discovered the perfect spot to sit and relax while she write in her notebook about the days happenings, something she had always done, it was an alcove in her window filled with pillows and blankets she requested from her maid.
At first her maid was very concerned as to why she was requesting so many pillows and blankets but as soon as she figured out what she was doing she was more than happy to lend a hand in its construction. Loving the idea of a cozy little corner to seclude oneself to spend some nice alone time in.
Just as she was settling into her little sancuary there was a knock on her door and her father walked in to see her meticulously arranging pillows and blankets
"I see you made yourself more than comfortable in your new room" chuckling to himself.She scurried out of her alcove notebook still in hand.
"Yeah merideth my maid helped me gather spare blankets and pillows it was actually a lot of fun" Merideth stood off to the side holding an extra blanket avoiuding eye contanct with Galen
"Well i'm glad you are settling in so well. I'm just coming to check on you and let you know that we will be having dinner with the King tonight" her notebook fell to the ground
"Dad, like THE King"
"Yes dear he requested to have dinner with both of us tonight so he can welcome you to his home" she picked up her notebook and sat it off the the side.
"only one problem with that I don't think I have any clothes good enough to meet a king in" she gestured to herself. She was in jeans and a basic t-shirt complete with old running shoes. Nothing fancy just generally acceptable appearance in the human world.
"He will understand it is your first day here after all"
"Oh ok when is dinner" suddenly very self conscious about her usual attire
"In 3 hours i will have your maid come get you" he smiled at Merideth with that he turned and left her room
In a panic she flung herslef at her bed screaming into the comforter it was her frist day and she was having to meet with the most powerful man in the kingdom
Merideth sat the blanket down on the edge of the bed and patted her back gently
"It will be ok ma'am i dont think the king will mind your clothes i think they look very nice on you"
"You have to say that you are my maid you are paid to be nice me"
"Well i cant really argue with you there ma'am but you do look nice"
missy groaned loudly into her pillow
"I dont know what i can do while i wait that wont absolutly drive me insane with worry"
