Yay! Chapter 1!

I'm only calling it AKA introduction thing because it's basically Angela telling you her backstory.

I plan on making this book... one on one, of you know what I mean. Some chapters might just have dialogue that's between you, (the reader) and Angela, the main character. It will have some dialogue or conversation between her and the other characters, but sometimes it will just be like you two are actually conversing in real life.

let's start, shall we?

Angela's POV

----

Secrets are really hard to keep, aren't they? You usually end up spilling them out. It's hard to keep a good secret.

Well, try being me for a few days.

My secret can't be told. To anyone.

You think if you told someone's secret, or a secret of your own, there might be some turmoil after it, and that be the end of it.

However, if I tell my secret, I could get killed.

Think I'm joking?

Ask my two friends, Amanda and Teegan. The only two people who know my secret.

Also the only two people I trust.

You know how a few seconds ago I said I could get killed?

I lied.

I can't be killed.

Would you believe me if I told you I was immortal? That I could live forever? That I was everlasting?

No?

Well I am.

So I guess for right now, you'll just have to believe me.

I guess I can give you some backstory.

I was born... differently.

One month late, to give some more info.

I wasn't born one month late because my mother had any defects or anything.

I was simply being experimented on.

Think I'm crazy?

You probably do. I get told this a lot and I'm quite used to it. So if you want, you can leave.

Anyways.

Technically I wasn't the one being experimented on. It was my mother. I can't really give you details about the experiments, because my mother never lived to tell me. She died during childbirth. I don't have a father either. Mother simply had me because... well... she went a little to overboard one night if you know what I mean.

So yes. I was an orphan.

To make a long story short, I lived in an orphanage my whole life, because the scientists, I guess is what you could call them, gave me up to an orphanage

And that's how I became friends with Amanda and Teegan. Two of the girls I mentioned earlier.

I guess I'll start talking about them a bit and give you a break about my crazy life's story.

I was brought to the orphanage maybe two days after being born. The scientists didn't want me knowing about them, and quite frankly I don't think I wanted to remember/know about them either.

Amanda and Teegan were two of the few girls at this orphanage. From what I was told by them, there were maybe only ten or fifteen kids.

When I showed up on the doorstep of this orphanage, the care taker took me in immediately. She's one of the reasons I've turned into the young lady that I am today.

Her name, is Mrs. Heather.

She had short, black hair. Maybe down to her shoulders. She had small eyes that were green, and cheeks that always moved into a smile. You could make her laugh so easily, it was never a challenge. That's why, whenever we were sad, she would say this:

Pleasant thoughts and smiles on faces, make this home a happy place.

And I still try to live up to that phrase this very day.

Amanda and Teegan are the ones that helped her take care of me. They're the ones that put up with me almost every second of the day, and they are also one of the reasons that I am who I am today.

So, technically, Teegan and Amanda
are my sisters.

Literal sisters.

I mean what do you expect? I literally just told you that they pretty much raised me alongside Mrs. Heather.

Amanda is twenty two at the moment, and is about to turn twenty three in a month. She's a very tall girl, with blonde hair and bright blue eyes.

Teegan just turned twenty three weeks ago, and her birthday is next June. She has dirty blonde hair that she has dip dyed red, with glasses framing her face. She's a bit short, but then again everyone is shorter than Amanda.

I'm 19, and am turning twenty in about three weeks. I had long, dark brown hair to my mid-back, with green eyes. I'm maybe a bit taller than Teegan, so I would say I'm five foot seven.

As these three people raised me, I always knew I was different. I had a feeling inside of me. In fact, it wasn't even a feeling. It felt like a bright light was trying to burst through my skin at any moment.

Now you definitely think I'm crazy.

But, when I fell out of a twenty foot tree when I was five and almost nothing happened except some bruising, me, Teegan, Amanda, and Mrs. Heather ALL knew something about me was different.

Very different.

Mrs. Heather had tried taking me to the doctors. Not because she thought I was a freak, but because I thought I was one and I wanted to know what was going on with me.

The doctors never figured it out. They said that they didn't have an explanation, and that I was just still lucky to be alive after all of my incidents.

All the kids at the orphanage made fun of me for it. Don't ask me why, because I have no idea. I guess to some people, living forever or being able to not get hurt is a BAD thing.

Like I said, Amanda and Teegan were like my sisters, so they would take care of it for me.

I mean, I wasn't terrified of the kids. Or scared. In fact, I found their attempts of mockery very amusing.

But every time one of my incidents happened, no one worried. Because they knew I was going to be fine. They wouldn't freak out.

The only thing that did freak them out, was when I was around ten or eleven, I was shot in the head twice.

And nothing happened. No memory loss, no brain defect, no DEATH.

And that's when Amanda, Teegan, and Mrs. Heather all came down to one conclusion.

That I in fact was immortal. That I would in fact live forever. That I couldn't die. That I was everlasting.

The sad truth is...

I wish I wasn't everlasting.
