(As a BuckTommy/ Tevan shipper... that episode was amazing.)

Also I started this on the 30th of October and I am trying to get it out for Halloween but 😭

//- Maddie -\\

I groaned as I opened the cupboard where me and Chimney kept the coffee, realising that there was none left. God I could not survive without coffee. Especially not with energetic, winter excited Jee. I love her, so much, but it was way too early and she was asking to trick or treating already. Which made sense because she is a literal child.

"Mama! Mama!" - Jee excitedly babbled, running up to me and smiling brightly.

"Hey Jee, what's up baby?" - I smiled tiredly, placing my empty and un-used cup onto the counter and picking Jee up.

"Trick or Treat!" - Jee babbled excitedly, a bright smile on her face as she clapped her hands together.

I sighed, running a hand over my hair as I looked at my daughter. She was adorable, and I love her very much, but Trick or Treating didn't really seem like a set plan this year. I was definitely not going to be able to get off of work, and I am not betting that Chimney will be able to either. To be honest, I had no clue who was off on Halloween, especially not in the First Responders work district. Halloween was one of the busy nights of the year, so the chance of having the day off was so so slim. And it was literally Halloween today, and there had been no word from Chimney.

"Oh Jee.. I'm sorry but I don't think me and Daddy can take you Trick or Treating tonight.. We have to go to work baby." - I muttered, looking solomly at my daughter as she processed the information.

"What abo't Auntie Hen..?" - Jee muttered, rubbing her eye slowly.

I frowned deeper, shaking my head as I watched my daughter's face contoured into a deep pout.

"I'm sorry Jee.. Auntie Hen's going to be at work too.." - I muttered, running a hand through Jee's hair slowly.

As I went to continue, to say I was sorry that we couldn't do anything for Halloween, my phone went off. A couple times actually.
I went to grab my phone, thinking it'd just be Chimney confirming that he and Hen were definitely not going to be able To get Halloween off.

It was.. Buck?

Buck

B: <Hey>
B: <Heard that you and Chimney couldn't get Halloween off?>
B: <And Hen?>
B: <Not eavesdropping, promise>

<Hey Buck> :M
<Yeah your right we can't get off work> :M
<Jee's just heard the news> :M
<She's upset, as you'd assume. But there's not much we can do> :M

B: <I can take her?>
B: <I mean- I'm off work because of my shoulder anyway so>
B: <The only thing I had planned was sitting with Tommy>
B: <You know as long as it's alright with you and Chim?>

<You don't mind?> :M

B: <No of course not>
B: <I don't mind taking her around my apartment building. You know how into Halloween everyone here is>
B: <Or we could go round Tommy's neighbourhood. Which ever you and Chimney feel comfortable with>
